You guys have your heads in the sand. I don't have an anti-football agenda, I'm just observing the facts. When Nike and Bud are preemptively shytting on your partnership, which has been mutually beneficial forever, you can clearly see the negative momentum has reached a fever pitch. When the media is no longer sweeping arrests and crimes under the rug but raising a consistent enough stink about it that teams and the league are revisiting every decision they make and changing them completely, you've reached a dangerous point. When significant magazines and shows are dedicating covers and panels to football and it has nothing to do with the actual product, you're in a bad place.

The fact they haven't forced Goodell out is baffling. You have to placate the mob in this situation, or they'll stay on your ass that much longer, with that much more vigilance.

Also, women and liberals watch football. What the fukk?

Ignorance is not an excuse though......right Goodell? :mjpls:

Maybe Mark Cuban was right? :ohhh:

And TMZ dropping dimes is only gonna make the others like BSPN and Foxsports join in on the dime droppin even more.

It's about to get Bubba Sparxx Ugly even more going forward.
shyttin on nikkaz = $$$$$$$$$$ and Ratings and now it's kicked into overdrive with social media and the 24/7 news cycle.

NFL's bread and butter comes from working class males. You think they give a fukk about any of the shyt that's recently went on? Is all this negative press going to make them enjoy the sport any less than they do already?
Seriously. Do people think that this domestic violence crap really matters to the majority of people who spend their money on the actual product? It doesn't. I mean, some of y'all seem to just try hatin on the sport for fun. If you think this recent shyt is what's going to lead to the downfall of football, you might be retarded. If baseball can make it through the steroid era and the nba can make it through that sketchy ref era, the NFL will be just fukking fine.

Oh no. 3-4 players have been charged with domestic violence.

DA HOLE LEAGUE IS OVER.

Calm down, chicken littles. The league will die one day, but that day is still a ways away

No but it matters to the companies that do business with the NFL and those companies don't want that negative press. The NFL does'nt generate money out of the air.

Which means they change their policy (which they did) and go harder on those who are convicted of such crimes (which they are).

The worst is in the past on this issue. The NFL has handled the problem pretty poorly, at least at first, but everyone's came together at this point to cover their collective asses. They still generate too much money for someone like Budweiser to legitimately consider pulling out. They know Coors or Heineken or someone would be suckin the NFL's cawk before they stepped out the door.

stop overreacting... NFL is doing fine. record profits, record ratings... relevent 24/7/365.... wake me up when those angry mobs actually show they bout that action (stop showing up to games/ stop buying merch / stop watching )
Yep. People are not cancelling their 'NFL Ticket' contracts with their TV providers. That's suicide.

The NFL needs a new commissioner immediately, because weathering all this negative momentum will require significant rebranding. How the owners don't get this is beyond me, as they're supposed to be about the business hustle. They need to engage in massive cosmetic revamping, from the top down, or this ball of trouble is going to keep rolling downhill until it's a massive boulder of shyt that can't be slowed.
you underestimate the american public's thirst for violence. The game has been violent. It will always be violent. There's nothing the owners or anybody can do dress it up as a safe sport unless they convert it to flag football.Either that or the government gets involved which it won't because public officials want to get re-elected too.
Gladiators fell off too, so...
apples and oranges. I don't see football falling off. Football is perversely tied to so many things "american". shyt is :scusthov:
