Do you think that whoever did would be quiet this long, though?

We know it wasn't law enforcement, because it would've been a feather in they cap that they got him, given he jumped bail...

Would the Genovese mf's really keep this shyt a secret? Like a number of guys have spoken on record, that The Mafia killed Jimmy Hoffa, even though there's no proof. There's no Mafia guys on record claiming responsibility for killing Matthews, just unsubstantiated rumors in the wind...

If they got him, there would be someone(s) willing to go on record that they did it, even if there was no proof...

The only other group I heard, who could've killed him, was the Philadelphia Black Mafia, as there were disputes there and they killed a couple guys he was affiliated with. But black street clicks also aren't tight-lipped, they'd have long claimed responsibility for it too...

Who would be able to keep quiet this long that they killed him? The only answer is, someone random unaffiliated with his past, or maybe the Venezuelans...

Thats what I always thought...if someone did it, it wouldn't be such a secret and so speculative.

I think he more than likely passed away by now.

He will be 80 today

Not every criminal is looking to be big meech or these nikkas that go on vlad today

He might be dead or alive but who knows

He escaped jail and was able to live long as he did without trying to be these new flashy nikkas who love talking about their crimes

This dude's life really interests me, probably because I live so close to where he grew up...

Looking into his story, he was well known to law enforcement in Durham. Left Durham when he was around 18 and hit Philly, then they say he got into some beef in Philly and skipped to New York, woulda been around 1963 when he was 19...

He was never really a quiet nikka, so the fact that he wasn't known to New York law enforcement until like 1970, was just kinda a stroke of luck on his part. Spent the mid and late 60s climbing his way up the ladder, there's old hustlers on video saying they knew the name, but not the face, in the 60s; and there are people who say he was likely confused with Frank Lucas at different points in time...

It's believable that he coulda turned down after he fled, and kept a low profile. Mf's can do anything when your freedom and life is on the line. So I do think he laid low, I just simply don't think he's alive anymore. nikkas with heart issues in they 20s ain't living another half century 🤣...

I'm more interested in his story than any of these Boomer legends, like I said it's probably because I live a half hour from where he grew up...
