I see a lot of fake concern by men that “women will get old and regret being single” but I would think men would be concerned about themselves and their peers getting old and being single. And how to combat that.

Statistically single women fair better. So why is there so much conversation and concern about the singleness of old women? They are fine and will be fine.

I don't think the concern is fake. They're just expressing it differently than women would. And I think they've actually figured out a possible way to combat it.

I think we're getting to a point where people just like being alone
people are more content with not having romantic relationships in general

Agree with OP as well. Some observations:

• From my personal experience I think the stress on married women comes mostly from children, not their husbands. As a father to an almost 11 month old daughter, I’ve learned that children are TAXING. My wife had a SUPER chill life before our daughter lol.
  
• Nobody cares about old men so if you’re not getting married, you better get your bread all the way up because you’ll def be lacking support if you’re solo.
