Street Fighter 2 cost 70 dollars on SNES. 600k first week in japan

That would be 150 dollars today. I’ll never understand how people think they’re being ripped off for games these days.

I pay that half the time on these special editions anyway :yeshrug: if it can tone down the MTX (doubt it will but still), even better
Yea this sentiment turned out to be a lie, or I just had a different mindset :pachaha: they definitely didn’t tone shyt down, but I buy much fewer games, especially at full price. And I always look at the value proposition unless it’s the 1-2 games a yr I always woulda bought anyway. I get it tho, everything else is more expensive too, but personally the industry is repelling a nikka from the hobby altogether. I have given a lot more indies a shot since tho

and cell phones cost $3000 then ... it was considered a luxury for leisure back then.. what the fukk is the relevance to 2024 gaming ? computers cost way more back then as well, you want to compare that? What about TVs ? Everything tech related cost more back then because it was consumed in moderation and was more of a luxury. Clothes were extremely less expensive back then, see, has no relevance to video gaming in 2024. Comparing shyt from 30 years ago is an odd way to say you are 50 years old and still stupid

The 32x Attachment would be 400 dollars today :dead:

mufukkaz just don't know how good they got it now but whining over 70 dollars.

nikkaz don't know the pain of them cartridge prices :mjcry:

A lot of people just didn’t care because tehy weren’t straight up buying games back then. We rented them or got them for christmas/birthdays.

Those entire games probably take as much time to make as one boss encounter in a current gen game and games are still around the same price

ive learned to stick with games released pre-covid

I copped Space Marine for $90 (CAD) but ended up getting hooked on Fallout 4 and it was free on gamepass

Copped Diablo 4 when it dropped and ended up playing Batman Arkham on Gamepass

even the new Dragonball looks like its a DLC for Kakarot :manny:

Gamepass/ Games made in the 2010s >>>>>>>>>
