I have not been to Minca, but Ippudo is the shyt.

That Akamaru Modern :noah:

I was lucky enough to visit Fukuoka, Japan where Hakata (pork based) ramen was invented. They had a ramen food court with nothing but Hakata ramen. It was one of the most flavorable dishes I've ever eaten.

I gorged myself on this and udon when I was in Japan a few years ago. Very cheap and fills you up for hours. The way the pork would just melt into the broth was just :ohlawd:

When I was in Japan in 2010, I went here:

It's a little hole in the wall spot run by a married couple, I don't even know if it's around anymore. But man ... when I tell you that ramen was the best I ever had ... :banderas:

@*F*U*N*E*R*A*L* , is one of your roommates the black girl with the mohawk? :shaq:

is there a difference between Ramen and Viet. Pho?

Ramen is pork or salt based broth that's pretty much ready to eat when served.. Pho is beef based broth that can be bland, but has bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, lime, and sweet & spicy sauces that can be added to your taste.
