Is this part of the gimmick, or are you high on Wet?
You might want to at lease skim through one day when you're bored. He's had some brilliant moments in the second half of his career. You will certainly not like it all, but if you can be objective, you can probably appreciate a chunk of it.
Evil Twin- just plain fire
Bad Guy - Sequel to Stan and pulled it off (this not being a single and video was a giant misstep IMO)
Deja Vu - The best songs about addiction I've ever heard (should have been a single, too)
Not Alike - clowning mumble rappers and tearing MGK apart
Alfred's Theme - fire if you don’t hate the beat. Classic comedy Em but well written and not too cheesy
On Fire - just dope, good beat
Framed - good song doomed becaus it's on Revival
I just got upset reading this. I like "Berzerk," but imagine if the first thing people heard from that album was "Bad Guy." At least give fans a reason to think this is going to be a real sequel to MMLP.
When I think about it, MMLP 2 is probably Eminem’s most disappointing album. Revival was his worst album, but I wasn't expecting anything from it and his music had been getting progressively worse. With MMLP 2, it's the sequel to your most iconic album, it's an opportunity to get back to the hip hop shyt after Recovery had the pop tracks......and you give us
that? There's fantastic stuff on that album ("Bad Guy," "Rhyme or Reason," "Legacy," "Brainless," "Evil Twin"), most of the bonus tracks are dope ("Baby," "Groundhog Day," "Wicked Ways," "Don't Front"), and then everything else is either decent ("a$$hole," "The Monster," "Rap God") or just straight up trash ("So Much Better," "Stronger Than I Was," "Headlights"). I really think we deserved a better version of this album.
