Lightskinned folks (i am one!) seem to stick to their roots alot & be conscious about blackness.

While darkskinned people seem to chase white girls/boys &/or that white/other acceptance alot.

BUT, i believe, both of it stems from overcompensation. Darkskinned folks may do that to overcome their insecurities about they feel society treats & reacts to them based on the shade of their skins.
