I agree - that is why it is important to look at who are writing these types of “think-pieces” — cause your average African immigrants/1st/2nd etc — are not going to reach back like you did and put the factors together - nor understand how our past and how we have been treated here ties in to our issues in our communities.

They lack connection and sometimes even empathy — they look at the now and after Civil Rights and think our issues are because of us and Black men and women being this or that.

The point is they really can’t verbalize or understand our community — even though they are a sub-category in it.

They can’t offer solutions cause they don’t truly grasp the problem. We can’t solve it cause we are not on the same page — we meaning DOS.

So, we are letting others come in and rep for us — creating a divide when they shouldn’t be talking about our issues/community anyway.

Again, I love my AA immigrants but they need to take a history class on Black America from slavery to now — and some self research and humble themselves — and stay out of conversations they have no blood in.

What I look like going to Nigeria talking about Nigerian men don’t deserve Nigerian women.

The nerve! I was taught better than that and more respectful than that — most Black Americans wouldn’t dare do that ish.

This is correct, you even see it on this very forum :ehh:
