And they've now reached full circle...where Jordan's own stats were padded...and they can't handle it. So they dismiss it and pivot to finding some other way to bash players.

Does this mean that Jordan doesn't have fans in the media? He's the most protected superstar in basketball history. There are tons of Jordan fans in media and business....many of whom carefully cultivated and protect his image and status. Jordan himself was vigorously aware of his image and took clear steps to improve and manage it throughout his career and post retirement. But somehow it's only Lebron who has these minions out there?

The point of this entire article was: Some guy found inconsistencies in scorekeeping with a Nick Van Exel game. It led to him investigating other notable statistical achievements. And it wound up looking into one of the highest profile statistical seasons ever. And it found a bunch of holes. It doesn't claim that Jordan wasn't great. Or that he didn't have an elite season in 1988 anyway. All it's saying is that Jordan's 1988 season was likely less great than people have been led to believe.

If you ran a marathon and they said you ran it in 1 hour and 50 minutes....and then years later they find out you really ran it in 2 hours and 5 minutes...you still ran a great fukkin marathon. It's not like they're suddenly saying you're a piece of shyt. But that's how a lot of people on this board interpret things.

But the issue with this debate is people thinking that their personal tastes are how everybody should think and that if you dare put another player at the top (i.e. Bron) you're wrong and know nothing about basketball. And they will argue you down about it. I've seen it with other fanbases, but Jordan fans are by far the worst offenders when it comes to that.

Cap. Nobody went backwards in time to trash the previous generations until Bron and his groupies started to do it. And this happens simply prop up Bron. That’s why the title of this, though it’s “about MJ” has Lebron in it. It’s all about propping Bron up and no other star had this approach of denigrating those that came before them so everyone would prop them higher when it came to all time standing…

And btw, MJs away defensive stats that year are better than Brons stats from any year. If you take MJ’s accomplishments and subtract Lebrons accomplishments, you get the career of KD. Meaning the difference between MJ and Lebron is the hall of fame career of KD lol.
