You can see why a person wouldn’t wanna check him out like that tho, I listened to this album and actually really liked tracks 2 & 4, but was pissed they were so short, the rest just didn’t do anything for me

It's not a rock album, having a guitar in your music does not make it rock.

If anything it's R&B where the
artist handles all the rap features.

I like Rock, hell I like Metal and other shyt
that's called "Demonic" on here and I'm a long time fan of Atmosphere and Joe Budden so depressing self deprecating lyrics in Hip-Hop aren't new to me.

There's no wit here, hardly any depth, and from where I'm sitting it's looking like directionless teen angst that only seems original when he's compared against his peers.

Put him up against lower tier rappers like Wale or Big Sean and his skill set as
a rapper starts looking inadequate.
Put him up against singers and that falsetto he keeps abusing just seems "ok".
Put him against Cobain whom he wants to be so bad and again dude starts look really regular or really mediocre.


It's a Grunge Rock inspired take on Urban music that I think someone would do better if they had a considerably wider world view and a much better pen game.

The people you compared him to most likely had the benefit of artist development.

If I'm keeping it real, I'm usually pretty busy week to week.

I might get to it one day but Royce, Murs, August Green, Arin Ray, Christian Scott, Mick Jenkins
and several other artists are occupying me right now.

Listenin now for the first time and the kid seems like he had the courage to push the music HE wanted to make no matter public acceptance...i like that... i passed this thread everyday around the time this album dropped never caring to enter it and its funny that i decided to change my coli username to dualistic embodiment recently not knowing about this kid and his message...with the white and black hair it seems like he was tryna symbolize the idea of dualism and was battling his demons internally while trying to push that positive energy outwardly...nothing in life is a coincidence brehs RIP
