:rudy: schoolboy, joey badda$$, and ab-soul is the only real rappers in that. they should make a song together. their styles all complement eachother and with the right producer, we could be seeing how hip hop will unfold in the next 5 years

:salute: My boy Dizzy Wright :salute:

And big ups to action bronson too.

Better quality. Angel Haze

They had :piss:Caclemore on it last year. So ofc XXL is trying it again.

And he was the only one to blow up. But to be honest last years list sucked monkey balls.

Have heard like 3 songs by Logic, he got a nice flow and can spit.

Mac Miller have destroyed the reputation for white rapers. They look like him so people think they will spit like him. When both Macklemore and Logic have their own lane and style.

That is a really solid class but only like three of them are actually freshmen

this pretty much, lotta guys on here been around the block.

but also :deadmanny: at that dumbass photoshop for chief keef

the list is funny tho, you have real established acts like schoolboy q, ab-soul, macklemore, and action bronson and joey badass to an extent and then you have acts with real minimum buzz like angel haze and travis scott, one of my friends swears travis got next but i havent heard a fukking song yet

in the past everyone outside drake and nicki agreed to be on this list, and there were only a few that deserved to be on the list but never made it. now it seems like the 3-4 we do like dont even meet the criteria and we can think up the other six that shoulda made the list

this is also by far the weakest list lyrically :wow:, keep defending 2013 hip hop :troll: :steviej:

EDIT: i've also heard pretty much everyone on this list, outside travis scott tho i know who he is. it's not so much anyone is :gag: but that this can't really be the best new talent to offer to the masses that consume magazines

Detroit/Los Angeles
many of this class are already gimmicks/clown/caricatures (chief keef, action bronson, mackelmore, trinidad james)

school boy q and ab soul should have asked xxl to skip this year and add them to the 2014 class

 at guys assuming that the white guy on the cover is Macklemore (who was on the cover last year).

This kid on the cover is Logic. They look similar, I suppose. :troll:
...but yeah...Macklemore was on the cover with Iggy, Hopsin, MGK, French, and all them. The one with all the gold shyt going on.

Can't knock Angel Haze for being on the cover. Detroit needs all the representers we can get. "Eh" on her music though. Not trying to hear depressing rap stories about getting raped out here. :notsure:
