It's been a minute since I've played this but I remember the free skell being weak as hell. I'd get a new stronger skell asap, you're gonna end up getting killed a lot in the one they give you.
Smart man. Once you get your whole crew equipped with powerful skells the game becomes much easier.
shyts expensive
There was a spot I would go to to kill these things called "Crazed Aeviters" I think. They're in the far north part of Noctilum. Their level is high as hell, like between level 60 and 65, but they die easy so you can be under leveled and destroy them. I kept killing them over and over and selling their weapon drops for a good chunk of money.
Let me clarify a bit on this as well. They're easily killed with a skell. I never fought them without one so I don't know how that would go lol. Also, you'll earn a shyt load of experience doing this as well. Here's a video that shows where they are:
