Also I've been scanning everything I can, that gives a pretty good amount of xp. Have you done any affinity missions? I did a couple of those too.
Honestly I got a lot of level ups just traveling around putting all those god damn probes down. The ass beatings I received in the process though.

Put down most the probes in Primordia and just really got into Noctilum. Doing the basic and normal missions to try to level up. I just keep getting crushed when I try to do the story missions though. Been running around grinding for hours just to get stretched
Yeah I've been scanning everything I come across as well. Haven't done any affinity missions yet. shyt aint so fun no more
If you go to the right of the mission board, you can pay to have higher ranked players join your party. I used it once to knock out a mission that was a few levels above me.
Depends. But most of the time that defense amount won't be greater than the collective conventional armor parts - its also unlikely to bring the same amount of perks to the table. That affinity mission turned out to be something else, so I'm good to go now.
Now my other question is about gear. I've gotten some prime clothing with 64 defense for all my characters but they're suits and shyt. Am I doing myself a disservice wearing those while fighting because it locks out the arms and sometimes the legs?!
I've been going through other forums and stuff kinda looking back on how I tackled the game compared to others and apparently people are trash
Seriously - if your arts, skills, equipment doesn't at the very least compliment the individual character (not even getting into the team synergy dynamics), then you're out there button mashing while these bosses swing for the fences on your ass. "How do I heal?" If you're asking this question, you lost. Your healing, outside of auras, arts, and passives, should be coming to your party steady through simply hitting your combos. You'll KNOW when you're outclassed by an enemy when your healing can't keep up with him - not when you're simply getting dropped here and there.
Two good high level characters should be able to carry through most stuff at your level. One solid tank (H.B. da gawd) can change everything too.
Also read the text when you're seeing those arts highlighted - some of those will tell you some important shyt.
well aiteI'm not an expert on it myself but I've learned to play to my strengths. I'm a "go in and melee the fukk out of everything" kinda player so all of my skills compliment melee damage, accuracy and such. I've also learned about the combos giving health, the soul voices and if your TP is maxed you can revive people which REALLY comes in handy. Also learned not to use my skills as soon as I can but to let them build up to maximize damage.
I haven't got my ass whooped in a minute now.
well aite
but yo... just hit level 50
you THINK you got money in this game til you buy one of the level 50 skells and properly outfit it I dropped a over 7 big stacks on getting my new baby on point. I'm talking orange weapons, mod slotted top to bottom, new armor
this thing is a gawd tho i got cornered by a level 58 mech tyrant on one of the floating islands above Primordia and chose to test it out just to see how long it'd hold up. I killed that bytch in 3 arts went down a level and one shotted a level 60
money well spent. but when you start flying around be careful. There is some demonic shyt in the skies above New LA when its raining.
