Level obviously means a lot, but remember that class is really important too. Make sure you're racking up those points when grinding. Once you finish a tree, you get to use those weapons and abilities in any other class.

Im level 42, whole team has Skells with flight modules. I mostly roll with Elma and Lin. I switch out the 4th using Irina, Lao, or H.B.(currently rolling with him trying ro get him up to level. Had to give him the starter Skell

Then I decided to keep my tank on foot with 2 or 3 skells out

the 60% defense increase turns the foot soldier into fukking Thor
I mean... power leveling is available anywhere an enemy stronger than you spawns - as long as you can kill it. The multiplier applied to killing stronger enemies is pretty legit. Early in the game I wouldn't even worry about it. I don't think I even got tested til Chapter 9 by a story boss.
BP will be fukking THROWN at you in the game though. I'm not saying max everything, but if you see a skill that's really, really good and you feel good about keeping early on (the secondary cooldown reduction one for example) then absolutely max it and keep it on you. You'll be able to change classes a bunch so I wouldn't invest too heavily in arts early on unless you're dead set on holding on to a certain weapon type
I'm at level 15 and Sirene The Lost is level 13 but she keep giving me that work
I'm level 17 now. Just beat Mistress Goetra or whatever the hell her name is. Whole squad died except for me lol.
How you going about leveling? Tired of doing those missions in the blue, fighting enemies about 2 levels above me to try to level up quicker but that shyt aint working, and keep getting beat trying to kill those tyrants or whatever. Been grinding all day and ain't really getting nowhere.
She just kicked my ass
She's got a lot of moves that stun you which was a bytch. My whole crew got murdered by her but I survived, mainly because of the Defensive Stance skill.
Honestly I got a lot of level ups just traveling around putting all those god damn probes down. The ass beatings I received in the process though.
