I want to say get the Skell ASAP - but don't. The exploration in XCX is some of the best I've ever participated in. Hoofing it through the jungle and to the south coast is some remarkable stuff... but once you DO get the Skell, it really changes everything.Spent my time yesterday exploring, did a few quests, and leveling up Lao and Irina.
I'm still getting the hang of skell combat (read the manual, cockpit time is how you make plays)Finally got my skell earlier this morning.
Gave it to Elma and I bought a new one for myself.
Its not story oriented at all. You really gotta treat it like you would a fallout, with the main quest being a real after-thought. The side quest quality is REAL hit or miss, and there's a lot that relies on you being able to swing with enemies at least lvl 25 just to get from point A to point B. On top of that, you gotta have a decent foothold on the world itself to really feel like you have the ability to get to where you need to go.This game is going on hiatus like Disgaea 5. I'll get back into it at some point but it's not gripping me like Xenoblade 1 did. Since Trails of Cold Steel comes out in 10 days and I wanna play that finishing the Trails in the Sky games will take priority.
Dont bother adding Gathering quests to your mission list. It will drive you crazy trying to find that stuff(without google anyway).Waiting for these updates to finish installing
Any tips for starting out?
