I tapdanced on that giant monkey's grave :blessed:
Literally the first thing I did after I beat the game was march straight back to Gormott to get in his ass.
Then it was
:piss::rip:

There another one even bigger level 90 in Gormott by the Travelers Resting Tree. I'm working on him right now.

6.8mil damage chain attack :blessed:
I still lost the fight :martin:

That's the main issue with the chain attack. If you do not kill them with it, they will kill you on the very next hit. Guaranteed. Especially cause Rex always seems to draw aggro when it's done for some reason

Immovable Gonzalez or something like that. He was in the first XB as well.

Yeah, the enrage state on every single boss type is bullshyt.

That's one thing I miss about XCX - fighting Tyrants was WAY more diverse. It wasn't just a matter of fighting off or sealing the reinforcements or racing against the clock to put a full eight piece chain attack on a boss. Those dudes were gonna come at you with all kinds of shyt. Everything from elemental attacks to hating bullets straight up to draining the fuel out of your mechs.

Yeah, here it's entirely timing. You want to get as many orbs on them as possible while at the same time, being mindful to not do too much damage that you enrage them and they start pulling out the OHKO attacks. They all have them.
The chain attacks aren't just a necessity for damage though, overkilling during a chain attack gets you a shyt ton of experience. Way, way more than usual. I've been gaining entire levels off of single unique monster fights.

Question about Chapter 7....

What is the upside to Nia being a Blade, because so far I don't see it. Granted, you can run with a tank and two attackers now, since Rex can heal....but without a dedicated healer I spend 90% of the time using Nia to heal as a Blade.

I feel Chapter 7 is where the game really takes off. Emotional start and a huge "oh shyt!" moment when you're fighting a certain boss. That being said I heard the dungeon is brutal if you're not way overleveled like I was.

I honestly don't see how the dungeon is possible otherwise. I'm 64 and none of the enemies were dangerous per se but the fights take forever because your Combos are all fukked up. Not to mention who you're missing. Probably my least favorite part of the game so far....I've never been a fan of games that weaken you to artificially make things more difficult.

Damn I was 61 at the credits :russ:

I didn't really go out of my way to out level the content but that dungeon in particular would take forever unless you are severely over leveled....and I don't have the time or patience for all that.

I am trying to take a break cause I been going hard af, but yall scaring me making me want to grind :damn:

The enemies are only around 45-50 but you are severely weakened during it. I can't really say much more without spoilers but a lot of shyt you can normally do in battle....you can't do in that dungeon.

So it's not like it's impossible or anything....or you're gonna die a lot....but it's just annoying as fukk. It was for me, anyway.

And I don't know how you even survived the last TWO dungeons :dame: every damn battle must've felt like the final boss

There's no real definite advantage. She's probably the best high damage healer blade in the game and gets to take advantage of Rex's BS as an art/special spammer.

I'm still laughing at how he swerved the shyt out of her though :mjlol:

Yeah, I just chalked that up to translations issues maybe because her talking about she loves him came out of left field. And was completely out of character. Granted, I'm still only on Chapter 7 but unless she expounds on why she said it later in the game....it didn't really make much sense. Unless in Japanese it was specifically a platonic love....I don't know.
