Yeah, he has like 1500+ hp on my other tank.
I still use my other tank though cause with them I can consistently get off break>topple>launch>smash, which has me owning fights
What's break?
I see it all the time but not sure what it means.

I hate when I topple a flying monster and they fall beneath the ground somewhere and i have to wait :comeon:

level 20...chapter 3.

So....when I set an art to "X" for my character....and press it. Does that also mean it auto-uses the X art for Tora and Mia?

I have only been using the moves for them that pop up with Lz and Rz.

But I do randomly see the name of their moves pop up on the screen but never sure if they Control it on their own. :ohhh:

Again...I haven' started chapter 3 so maybe they need to show me more tutorials :pachaha:

I FINALLY LEARNED THE ELEMENT shyt....ILL HIT THEM WITH FIRE THEN USE NIAS WATER BEFORE THE METER RUNS OUT AND IT INFLCITS MAD DAMAGE :damage:

You must break enemies before toppling them. If you use a toppling art before you break, it won't topple. The order it goes in is break>topple>launch>smash. That combo does a ton of damage and makes enemies drop loot mid fight.

Toppling flying enemies comes in very handy later when you're fighting some monster dragon or dinosaur that's way out of your league. If you topple a flying enemy while you're fighting him on say the edge of a cliff and he's over an abyss, it's an instant KO cause you topple them to their death, no matter how much health they have left. You won't get any loot from the kill but you'll still get the Exp. Comes in handy when you're fighting a dragon 10 levels above you

You can control their specials with ZL or ZR but they control their own arts. They will usually comply with the break>topple>launch>smash combo it they're using the right blade at the time

There was a patch today but I don't think it did much for performance or resolution.
I got 2 perfects already in level 1 of Tiger Tiger with the new easy mode. You don't get hurt running into walls anymore which basically breaks the game in level 1 lol

ok, it might have just been the area that I was in. I went back into that tunnel loaded with bats, and I used my day 1 Yuka (wind element, and healer) to destroy em all. Her affinity chart is complete, and I went ham.

Also

Is Mythra really not able to use her level 4 special indoors? :ohhh: didn't think the game would pay attention to a detail like that.

edit: one more thing, did anyone drop 500k on that core back in torigoth? i'm curious if its worth it

regarding the spoiler, it still works - but the aoe is gimped quite a bit. its still really good. what makes mythra dumb good is how every single crit you land with her builds driver meter. if you've got the skill that lets you cancel one driver art into the next you can cook up a level 3 combo with ease

also, chapter 5 spoilers
Indol's music legit great :francis: like, factually speaking. the music student in me is legit impressed and feels the need to reference this in my next nerd argument

and top it off, rex is a really, really good kid

raised by a black woman :wow:

its crazy how this game has jokes, stupid tropes, and then drops some really well written socioeconomic discussion on your head without it being a jarring transition

The compass isn't so bad anymore.
I kinda like how it forces us to explore :ehh:

And the game is MASSIVE and there is so much vertically to do so it makes sense for the compass to be thee way it is.

The compass isn't actually that bad once you find out how to use it outside of the one big flaw when the markers overlap and you have no idea where you need to go. The new map helps though

Agreed.

Do you mean overlap like when there are multiple places to go or when you have a side mission and a main mission?

Peep game breh. I'm sick so I got some down time to explain some shyt. I'll keep it simple though.

Your auto-attacks build towards your Driver Arts. Your Driver Arts build towards your Special Attacks (I, II, III, IV, etc.).

When you use Special Attacks a meter appears in the upper right hand corner. The key is to link another, higher level Special Attack to the previous one, before the meter runs out....so I, then II, then III, etc.

In most cases you want to stay in the same element (Fire, Fire, Fire) but there is other combos like Fire, Fire, Water (Steam Explosion), Fire, Fire, Photon (Nuclear Blast), Wind, Wind, Earth (Sand Storm), etc.

That's why you see the Lz and Rz icons....your party members are either asking you to start a combo, or they're trying to continue a combo that already exists.

If you do I, II, III then the enemy will be resistant to that element....that's the orb people are talking about. It's a little ball that rotates around the enemy....red for Fire, green for Wind, etc.

Anyway, the goal is to stack as many of them as possible. Anytime you land a level III combo another orb will appear, up to 3 total.

In Chapter 3 you get the ability to do a Chain Attack....you see those bars in the upper left hand corner? The ones you can use to bring your friends back to life? If 3 of those bars are full you can hit the + button on the controller to start a Chain Attack, which lets all 3 of your people attack in a row. The enemy can't do anything during this....they just sit there getting their ass whupped.

If you got those orbs around the enemy, if you deal enough damage (either a lot of damage, or damage opposite of the orb type....so Water for Fire, etc.) you can break the orb which does massive damage and it also extends the Chain Attack even longer.

There's a bunch of other stuff but that's the basics. Let me know if you have any questions breh.

Don't forget the Seal tree in the top right. When you start a combo it will you show you the potential routes you can follow from that level one special. It also shows you what seal that level 3 special will give if you do the correct combo to get there. So say you are getting killed a lot by say blowdowns. Well you may notice a Seal Blowdown potential outcome up there for a combo. So follow the appropriate order of elements to arrive at it and now you've sealed the ability that's fukking you up.

I have some great examples of how I used this but don't want to spoil anything.

Yeah but I didn't want to OD on giving him info....I'd rather he ask about specifics like that. I don't even know if he has Chain Attacks yet. :mjlol:

Thanks breh.
I didn't learn chain attacks yet but will soon.

I did a fire special then Tora, then nias. It seems to do extra damage.
