New consoles used to be completely different architecture. Since this one isn't it makes sense what they're doing. Having that transition means people that can't afford the new hardware can still play new games and as the price of the new hardware comes down they can upgrade and keep playing.stop making excuses for Microsoft. I guess every console launch had been anti consumer. It's anti consumer to have games for a new platform? When does anti consumer stops? A few years after launch? I want Halo Infinite for my 360!
What about us?!
Microsoft is pushing Game Pass. Why cut off a good portion of that install base if they don't have to?
This is a different approach for a different business model. Hell it's arguable that even after the cutoff new games will still be playable on Xbox One over xCloud.
