Halo and most definitely when Starfield/New Elder releases. I think the service will grow to other things as well. Microsoft is not done. I bet Discord would of been tied to it if the deal didn't fall through.

Microsoft will pay the developer upfront cost supposedly. The developers also get full price of their DLC while the game is available on Gamepass. I believe there are other methods such as how many played or downloaded as well.

Microsoft pays the development cost upfront for the game or the game has already made its development cost back and the money from Microsoft is just profit.

Microsoft is expecting gamepass to hit a point where they can fund all these games just off money made from gamepass.
