Playstation owns the rest of the world outside of North America. Their exclusives are better as well. Sony won't get curb stomped again (in the states) unless they decide to price it at 600 again. Halo is already starting to fall off and Gears as well. One thing MS clearly needs to do is upgrade their first party games this upcoming gen. And I'm not talking about Kinect shovelware.

Have you noticed, they've been building up their 1st party stable for the past few years and they have been opening their checkbook to key developers. With all the money that people have spent on XBLA, it's going to transfer to the next Xbox. The PS4 is not going to play PS3 games. Also, not all of Europe is Sony's, UK and Ireland are firmly Microsoft. We know that Sony has had a better first party output in comparison to Microsoft. Did that help this generation? No and it's not going to help in the next. Microsoft is going to create a new franchise like they did for Gears, market the shyt out of it and watch it drive home sales.

:mindblown: almost all games that are on both pc and console are console ports now.. including battlefield 3 :beli:

that's not true. BF3 is the exception, not the trend, as most multi-platform games are still ported to the PC. and it was decided BF3 would be on consoles while it was still in development. so it was not developed for the PC and then ported to the consoles. they had the limitations of consoles in mind early on

an example of a PC game that truly was ported to consoles is the first Crysis. and they had to gimp the fukk out of it to make it happen

:upsetfavre: almost every game, that is on both pc and console, is a console port.. Crysis was made for the PC because Crysis is the standard for Crytek engine, thats the real purpose of Crysis.. It sold better than expected so they released it on console, thats it. Thats the exception, not the trend. Not the other way around.

That's Courtdog levels of stupidity right now. That doesn't even make sense. Of course it will play PS3 games, it'll have a bluray drive. :what: Don't start trollin the thread with nonsense fam.

As good as MS is with their marketing, the main games promoted were Gears and Halo....2 games..Gonna have to up the ante this time. Promoting multiplat games is :ehh:

They'll win North America again, but the rest of the world will remain Sony.

I disagree. I didn't think the exclusives on either system were that good this generation. Uncharted is probably the most overhyped game ever. I enjoyed heavy rain the most on ps3 and gears of war the most on Xbox. If you take into account games that were released first on Xbox like mass effect, bioshock, ninja gaiden, etc or some DLC like the one for GTA I'd say Xbox was better this generation for exclusives. The best games of this generation were multiplatform and I think that trend will continue maybe even more so for the next generation.

Can't take it on the road with me, and I'm not sold on steambox.

consoles >>>

:lookherebruh::lookherebruh:
This is very poor logic. I get why you'd want a console over a PC but this is terrible logic. I have a gaming laptop that I can do work on and game on. That's a lot more convenient than lugging around a PS3.

I said I'm not sold on Steambox. If it's going to be streaming, some of these hotels have shytty connections. I don't feel like that. I'd rather bring my ps3 than another laptop as well.

BUt he didn't say anything about Steambox. He said he's sticking to PC and you said "can't take it on the road with me" which is, in a way, bullshyt. You can take a laptop that plays games better than a PS3 does on the road with you. And of course, I'm sure you're already taking a laptop with you so it would be a net gain in terms of convenience.

I get that PC gaming doesn't have Sony exclusives and shyt and that a gaming laptop is more expensive than a PS3, but if we're talking strictly whether or not you can bring a gaming PC on the road, then it's not even an argument. Of course you can.

I know...:whoa:

a good laptop gaming pc costs much more than a desktop one though. It's cheaper the console route.
