Oh yea, I kept hearing news about that and people kept declaring "NINTENDO IS DOOOMEED!!!"

First off, they shipped that many. They didn't sell that much.
2nd, if they was doing "good" then why they come out last, but was first to leave?

What's going on now is ppl like yourself look at blank numbers, totally unaware of what's really happening. The Wii system hasn't sold well in years now. It was based on a controller, not a system.. That's it's problem and Nintendo thought they could do it again cuz ppl like yourself exist. They was hoping on cashing in on ignorance. It worked this gen for them and Sony
But you see what's happening now? Right? Wii-u's sitting on store shelves during the holidays. Nintendo is done, but hey.. At least they shipped a bunch of systems during a two year span!!!
fukk "stats"....if I've been in 50 ppls house in the past few years, 40 had an Xbox, 10 had a ps3. It's very obvious that Xbox won this generation, and this is coming from someone who owns all 3 major consoles

coming from someone who does not have a dog in this fight (i am a former nintendo fanboy, now just disillusioned and more into retro and PC gaming) i think it is pretty obvious the 360 won. it seems to be the lead platform for development with the deepest online community.
nintendo sold the most, but that was primarily to casuals and fanboys. the casuals largely abandoned it, and the fanboys were not capable of supporting the few good 3rd party games on their own, so nintendo had to rush the wii u out the door. for all intents and purposes, nintendo has one foot in the bushes...
PS3 just seems like an also ran. it's not thrown in the bushes, but it seems like it got nudged off the sidewalk.

i still use it for virtual console and i probably own almost every good game for it. so it does get some use from me.
actually, though i have a mostly negative view of it now, it has been valuable as a virtual console device. some of the better games have even been upgraded with online play or english translations for the JPN games.
I dream a dream that one day Xbots and 3Cepts could settle their differences in some cross-platform game, where both consoles were able to meet up and play each other.
