The overwhelming amount of PCs out there use Direct X and Windows.

In real terms there is no equivalent platform for Sony and there isn't a single PC Gamer who hasn't benefited from Micrsoft being
the defacto Operating System Manufacturer.

Sure there's Apple and of course the various flavors of Linux but neither really matches Microsofts Desktop PC dominance.

I'll give it to Android and IOS as the other two most popular operating systems on the planet but Microsoft is very, very
important and dominant in general even if Xbox evaporates tomorrow.

I just wish the haters would be consistent.
Is gamepass stupid? Or is Sony right to roll out their own version (which I pay for btw!)
Is Xbox being on every platform via the cloud or digital downloads "Bad" or is it good
that you can access so many of your games while dozens or hundreds of miles away from your actual
Xbox?

This is brilliant IMO and it's the future obviously both platform holders believe this otherwise they wouldn't
be porting their games to PC (obviously this isn't much of a problem for Microsoft as they high key
have a monopoly there as well!).
