Just powered through this series during the week, finished it tonight.

:wow:

I remember being so hateful towards this show, not wanting to let go of that TAS vibe I loved when I was younger. I'm glad Days of Future Past dropped, so it could get me interested in the universe again. It's safe to say that the prior movies before First Class really put to rest any interest I had in the x-verse. Glad I put in the time to watch this. Such good piff.

So many girls in life I ran into like Rogue. Brought back some tough memories :to:

Same here. I only watched a handful of season 1 episodes during the first season's original run on "Kids WB" back in late 2000/early 2001 before I quit on it because It wasn't touching 90's X-Men: TAS.

I finally sat down & watched the entire series back in late '08/Early '09. I slept on this show & it starts to become really good at the end of Season 2. There are even things I like about this show even more than 90's X-Men: TAS, such as the animation.

:sas2: Have you watched "Wolverine and the X-Men" animated series?

I'm still mad the last season has never been released on DVD.

The first season of TAS was iconic and legendary, 2nd season not as much, the 3rd was Phoenix Saga, I think. The rest of TAS is a haze, but Evolution is a powerhouse by its own means. I'm ashamed at how quickly I shunned it for not looking 90s enough.

I was just told to stay away from Wolverine and the X-Men :to:

:stopitslime: NOPE!!!!!! Don't listen to whoever the fukk said that!! The same writers/producers who did "X-Men Evolution", "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" & the direct to Blu-ray/DVD Lionsgate Marvel Animated Features from '06-'11 are the same folks who did "Wolverine and the X-Men".

So it's definitely worth watching. I enjoyed it so much, I bought the Blu-ray release of the only season. I'm still mad it didn't get a 2nd season. They were planning on doing the "Age of Apocalypse" storyline in season 2. :why:

:lupe: Have you watched "Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes"? It's from the same writers/producers. It's always peaked my interest, but I''m turned off by the anime-style animation

I was thinking of making this thread since I just started the show.

I'm half way done with season 2. It's an enjoyable show with an interesting touch. I'm not feeling Logan's look tho (non-costume).

And co-sign Wolvie and the X-Men. Awesome show.

With the way things are going I don't think there has been a bad X-Men cartoon show. :ehh:

Always thought it looked like garbage and too different. I tried it when it first hit Jetix (the old Disney XD) but couldn't cope with it. :manny:

I never even finished the original Fox series :lupe:

:lupe: I've always be told the Marvel Anime shows (Including the X-Men show and the Wolverine show) that aired a few years ago on G4 sucked.

What y'all think about them? It's from the same folks who did the direct to Blu-ray/DVD "Iron Man: Rise of Technovore" and "Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher" anime movies.

I made the same mistake... I wanted the 90s show back and wouldn't give this one a chance. It actually gets really dope around the end of Season 2. Even though it didn't do any of the famous storylines in the comics, I liked the animation/artwork, Kitty and Nightcrawler were more regularly featured, and Cyclops actually got respect. Underrated series.
Someone edited all of the Apocalypse episodes into one video as a "movie" on YouTube.

It's a crazy that both this and the 90s series are still way better than the live-action films :wow:
