Naw, Inhumans was marvels desperate play to replace the mutants after they thought they wouldn’t get the rights back from Fox. It filtered into the comics and games in a terrible way.

Kamala was mistake, if she had been invented 10 years earlier she would have been a mutant.

It already is. If you watch the scene where professor X is introduced in Dr Strange 2, the captions read as (X Men 97 theme). He's dressed in a green suit and the yellow floating chair. Safe to say the professor X we saw is from the X Men 97 timeline

But will there be power?

--UNPOPULAR OPINION WARNING--

...let's keep it 100, Gambit is lowkey the X-men equivalent of this dude:

Gambit was in the 90s cartoon but outside of that he's irrelevant.
Notice how almost all of the really live stories in the OG comics either have nothing to do with Gambit (Morrison and Whedon's runs), or take place WAY before he was even created (Dark Phoenix, Days of Future Past, God Loves Man Kills).
Dude was an overrated 90s fad. Not horrible, just overrated.

He's definitely better than the trash characters they're coming up with today though, I'll give him that.
