That is the same thing I was thinking when I saw the trailer. Like how does the animation look worse than the animation for season 5 of the original.

The techniques they used to animate back in the day probably are antiquated and they probably computerized everything.

It looks fine to me, too much of an upgrade wouldn't look pure, and it's too much to expect them to recapture the spirit of the original. In short, I think your expectations are too high.
