X-Men '92 Crew pushing for a Comeback

I'm torn. On one hand I grew up on this so I wouldn't complain if it came back, but on the other hand I feel they're reviving old shyt too much these days.
I wonder if the series would take place in the 90s, or if they would timeskip to the 2010s and have all the characters 20 years older. Or just do the Simpsons thing where it's the current year but the characters stay the same age.

I hope it gets alot darker where we actually see like magneto killing some dirty flatscan terrorist scum, The formation of Xforce and cyclops red suit and more integration within the MCU...

Disney has been awful in their marvel animation dept. At least do some Dr. Strange level type animation but then again that was Liongates
@MartyMcFly convince me Disney will even try to touch on that shows level of writing and themes. Nightcrawlers intro ep is still some of my favorite episodes of any series period

Because no matter how you slice it Xmen got some dark and gritty issues...
no reason to handicap them at all, that's partially been the problem... I want a violent dark animated series no filter.. in the 92 series they touch on certain issues but don't show how they fully resolve them...

Yeah they touch on social issues but it’s still a cartoon that will air on Disney XD, homie. They’re not going to get extra wild with it because standards and practices would kill them. And Disney doesn’t brand their stuff that way.
You can do suggestive but don’t think this shyt is going into adult swim territory. IF it airs it’ll be the same tone from 20 years ago. Being on Disney won’t give them more creative freedom

Like I said homie, I don’t see Jeff loeb and Joey Q going for it without significantly dumbing it down. I’d love to be surprised tho and am always hopeful but their track record says, to quote Austin, “NAH AH”

Sigh. It’s. On. Disney. Channel lol. Breh explain to me how you’re getting what you want on Disney channel. On what planet is that even feasible?
The dope trade off would be to put it on Hulu. Then I can see what you’re asking for. But if that shyt is on Disney channel or Disney XD, you’re not getting what you’re asking for. Better lower those expectations real quick. And try not to be mad at a company that doesn’t want to showcase cigarette smoking in their movies if they choose not to show cats being murdered or even suggestively murdered.

You do the letter shyt. I ain’t moving a muscle lol. And there’s also a good bet they’re not pitching the show you want anyway. You gotta know your audience and read the room. That room doesn’t want to hear about a dark and violent and purely adult cartoon featuring the X-men. They’ll pitch a show that’s as mature as what they did before but that doesn’t tarnish the Disney brand.

Maybe have a timeskip and begin the show a couple of years after the OG series ended. Bring Professor X back to catch him up on what he missed over the years.
* Beast left the group to join the Avengers (and the Avengers can have their own show set in the same universe adapting all their classic stories like the Kree Skrull War, etc. The potential crossovers
)* Jubilee went off to college and only shows up in certain episodes. They could do a multi-part X-tinction Agenda adaptation that has her in it.
* Make Kitty Pryde the new fish-out-of-water POV character so they can explain what mutants are, etc. to the kids watching at home that might not be familiar with X-men.
* Have Nightcrawler officially join the group in the reboot, since he deserved more than two episodes. They can even have the original comic subplot of Kitty not liking him at first because of his appearance.
* Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine are still with the X-men. Give Logan that brown costume.
* Don't change the theme song
They could cover some of the classic stories of the 80s and 90s that the cartoon never did. Maybe a heavily modified Mutant Massacre? X-cutioner's Song? Fatal Attractions?
