WWE's declining business and why it's happening

It should be a surprise to no one, especially WWE, why their audience continues to diminish, even if you take into account the hyper inflation of the Attitude Era that took 15+ years to get back to normal.

I said this in a older thread before, but people are picking between sitting in nosebleed seats with their kids and dropping $200 at least on a live event vs sitting at home and watching in 4k and watching it anytime they want on demand.

Breh...when you have a man that got into the game with such malice towards the game, it will happen. Vince as a whole despise wrestling to the point that he did the following:

• Killed the territories
• Went behind his father's ideals of working with promoters
• Push for mainstream appeal when he alienate his own product in the process
• Keep wrestlers from going over on their own
• Keep wrestlers from exceeding what the past wrestlers accomplished

Yet, he's surprised when ratings are in the shytter and the Titanic is slowly sinking. Lets be frank, this is not even a WWE thing anymore but a wrestling thing in general. The business have yet to grow up from the glory days of Attitude Era to the glory days of the Indies. Hell, have yall check out Twitter lately. Wrestlers destroying the illusion by being these soft spoken cornballs but want to be tough guys when a fukking politician says politics is as fake as wrestling. You can't have it both ways and be surprised when wrestling fans move on from the product as a whole. Bottom line, WWE have issues like any other promotion, but guess what...dumb ass wrestlers will continue to sign the contracts, mark ass smarks will continue to bytch about the product, and smark ass marks will continue to be armchair analysts when in reality its not that serious. I'm at this point just whatever about the shyt and continue to watch alternatives beyond the WWE because of options. Lets just remember that the WWE will shove shyt down throats because everybody allows it. From the stinky neckbeard down to the knuckle dragging wrestler bending over for Vince to poke em.

The WWE literally had “if you don’t like it then don’t watch” campaigns LIVE ON TV and wonder why people gradually tuned outthey even had some hashtag that they were beating over people’s heads on air, something like #SupportWWE or #WeStandWithWWE, something like that that they were pestering the fans about “pull out your phone and TWEETLet your voice be heard “

I don't see why they couldn't have let him hold the title past 2019. If they were going to have Drew win the Rumble and challenge for the WWE Championship, why not have him face Kofi? They already have history you could play off of, and it would have been a fresh matchup in the way that previous big WrestleMania matches were.

But why have that when Brock needed it more?

My nikka its the truth.. To this day I cant help calling it WWF. WWF comes out better, Like all 3 of the letters are constanants so it makes it easier to say... but switching the last letter to a vowel means your brain has to switch gears to vowels after the first 2 letters... and something about that just never felt right.And i wouldnt want my brand to be referred to as entertainment.... And funny enough, that coincided with the whole invasion thing... which also... never felt right. Before i even read OP, i can remember the exact moment i stopped watching WWE. It was already getting whack after a while.... but when i saw Diamond Dallas Page praying to a shrine of Stephanie Mcmahon with candles while chanting some buddist shyt i was like



That was it for me brehs. nikkas always knew the shyt was fake, nikkas cared little for the wrestling itself... but the characters were believable with fun stories and some crazy plottwists. it wasnt just that i grew out of it... whack writing will fukk up any good show. Look what happened to game of thrones. Just funny to see in hindsight that in 2001 basically everyone else that was watching did the same thing i did


Ive tried to come back and watch on a monday every few years to see for nostalgic purposes but its been cringe-worthy ALMOST every single time.

The sole exception was that daniel bryan run. Seeing how the crowd popped for him....all the drama surrounding his run to the championship... how the crowd would be chanting for him when he wasnt even wrestling or on camera, he really restored the feeling brehs. I was sad that he had to retire.


I mean its 2020 now, cant they stop this whole PG bullshyt? I saw bobby lashely with that pawg recently... that looked like it had potential.... like come on... SAUCY shyt.
