Miz beating Bryan clean would make no sense. He's a delusional, shyt-talking heel that gets by on sneaky shyt and then rubs it in the more talented guy's face. Having him actually outwrestle and beat Bryan ruins both characters and the story, both kayfabe and irl.
Isn’t this basically what bliss has been doing the last few years?

Main roster she is tied with Trish, if you count the NXT women's title she has 8 reigns and the WWE record.
Her Divas reign ran right into the Women's belt reign. I get that it's considered a different belt and a different reign but it really shouldn't be. She went into Mania the Divas champ and left the Women's champ.

Right :snoop:

It should've been a fukkery finish where Becky has Carmella in the dis-arm-her, Charlotte hits the Natural Selection on Becky, Carmella kicks Charlotte and Mella steals the victory. Then, Becky turns on Charlotte because her fears had been realized that she would've beaten Carmella but Charlotte got in the way. It would've made more sense :manny:.

No. No, it wouldn't.

Exactly! People hang too much on someone winning clean... it's bad enough half the heels wanna be "cool", now they supposed to win all their matches clean too?

That's not even Miz's character at all, and especially not in this feud with Bryan. He's depicted as the guy who takes the easy way out to everything, doesn't value wrestling like Bryan does, is inferior to Bryan in the ring. Why TF, in the first match of the feud, would he have to go over clean? This is Miz bein' Miz, the exact reason Bryan doesn't respect him, the exact reason he's a heel in the first place. Heels cheat, heels rely on interference, heels are sneaky. This "but he has to win CLEAN!" is like :what: Breaking rules is why they're HEELS! :heh:

No, people look at Miz as a geek IRL, and in kayfabe, who is only a good talker. If WWE wants us to view him as a legit heel that can actually get shyt done once in awhile and deserves to be in this program with DB, he could have gotten the clean win. Add to that, the fallout segment where DB was questioning whether he still has it anymore, and it's a perfect storyline. There is no reason for him to feel down on himself in that segment otherwise, because Miz cheated, so there's nothing to be ashamed of.

We will see where they go on Smackdown but if it's a "DB is questioning his ability" angle, it would have been better as a clean win, and to take the chance to truly try to elevate Miz to DB's level in-ring wise. Sometimes a feud isn't always about waiting for the face to get a fair fight and win like he's supposed to, but "holy shyt the heel is actually damn good, I dunno if my hero can pull it off" then when he does, it feels like that much more of an achievement.

No. Bliss has basically dominated every single person she’s feuded with other than (thankfully) Naomi and Ronda. Not only do they make Bliss appear smarter than everyone else, but even in the ring she’s pinning people after 1 finisher.

Miz type heels don’t fit that archetype. Kurt angle circa 2000-01 fits that mold. 1999-2000 Triple H fits that mold. You don’t want an edge or miz type heel to win clean. Their entire pathology as a heel is that they’ll do anything it takes to win and their willingness to break the rules gives them an edge (don’t ask me how) that their opponent does not. Once they stop cheating, there’s little reason to boo them. A loudmouth heel has to break the rules for him to stay heel. Otherwise the crowd ends up turning them face like they did Austin.
