HHH: "You know they had AJ Styles over there and he was basically the equivalent of the Brooklyn Brawler. WWE saved his career."

Michael Hayes: "I don't know why they ever believed in Bobby Lashley, at one point Vince did but luckily he snapped out of it."

Stephanie McMahon: "The very idea of letting the talent come up with their own ideas was dumb. Why would anyone in their right mind let Matt Hardy write anything? Matt Hardy? We're talking about Matt Hardy here, he's a tag team wrestler."

HHH: "You could just tell by the ratings they were a bad show, nobody wants to watch stuff like that. I remember Sting telling me he had a fight with somebody over a slice of pizza. I mean that's unrelated but still that actually happened. What kind of company were they running?"

Michael Hayes: "You all know R-Truth right? Well these idiots actually put the NWA World Title on him at one point, can you believe that? R-Truth! The same one you see dancing over here, THEY PUT THE NWA WORLD TITLE ON HIM!" *Proceeds to make huge deal about it* "They had R-Truth pin Ken Shamrock! This is the same title held by such greats like Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Terry Funk, Lou Thesz! They put the title on him? Of all people? How does that happen? From that point on I knew they were clueless. They didn't do it once either, they gave him the title twice! Listen, R-Truth is a dancer. He's not World Champion material and there's nothing wrong with that."

:ohhh: It's like you jumped out the TARDIS with a DVD in your hand.

Meltzer said on his latest podcast he hasnt been told of WWE actively bidding but the rumour about Sinclair bidding is true and that they are only doing so they could buy the timeslots for Ring of Honor both nationally and internationally and shelve TNA

That swerve :ohhh:

These indie kids are trying to pull a corporate takeover while WWE is building relationships with smaller promotions for stuff like the CWC:lupe:

Sinclair buying it would probably lead to WWE getting the tape library anyway without half the hassle & probably cheaper.

Corgan is the only one who wants it to really keep it going. He should do what Bischoff was going to do with WCW if he gets it & go dark for a month before coming back as just Impact Wrestling. Drop the TNA name & treat it like a new company. If he wanted to try to make some money back sell the tape library up until they went to Pop.

More on WWE being ice cold outchea. WWE is getting dropped by their German broadcaster

Observer:

Tele 5 made the decision this week not to renew the Raw contract when it expires in March. The ratings for the show were considered good. Stefan Kastenmuller, the General Manager and Vice President of WWE Europe said that the Smackdown deal, which also expires in March, may not be renewed,

From sources in Germany, Tele 5 had enough of WWE. WWE is attempting to set up a bidding war for rights since both Raw and Smackdown deals are about to expire. ProSieben told WWE that the shows produce adequate ratings but are net money losers due to them not being able to sell advertising inventory. In Germany, nobody except WWE licensees have showed a lot of interest in advertising on the shows, even German subsidiaries of companies that advertise on the USA Network. A lot of the deal was based on ProSieben getting PPV revenue from WWE shows, but with the PPV revenue dead, there was no economic incentive. The feeling is if WWE loses broadcast TV and goes back to Sky (pay TV) in Germany, they’ll be back to half houses

Like I said in an earlier post in this thread, WWE gets good ratings but they're fukked because nobody wants to advertise on their shows, so their ratings are irrelevant

bonus. re: Trump Foundation
Vince and Linda McMahon have donated $5 million to the foundation, coinciding with times Trump has done angles on WWE television

Friday is the deadline and the WWE is interested again.

So it's either Cokeboy or Corgan who ends up owning TNA by this weekend.

I could see Dixie selling to Cokeboy, just to stop Corgan from potentially doing something good where she failed. And sending a bunch of talent to the unemployment line. :francis:

Will Bound for Glory even happen then if Vince buys the company then? :patrice:

How much would they even pay if they're just buying the tape library? Is it even worth a million? :patrice:

Who would they bring over? :lupe:

What happens to Cody? :lupe:

Update: The Latest Report On A Potential Sale Of TNA, Is WWE Back In The Mix?

Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is now back in the picture in regards to a potential sale of TNA Wrestling.

Meltzer also noted that Dixie Carter is in a position to be able to sell TNA to whoever she likes. Apparently whatever deal is being worked out has become very complicated.

TNA is said to be running out of time to make a deal and at last word Billy Corgan still did not have a deal in place to buy TNA. Corgan was on ESPN earlier this week and made it sound like a potential deal could be weeks away but Meltzer is reporting that a deal would need to be worked out by Friday.

The reason the deal would need to be finalized by Friday is because Corgan would need to be able to fund this Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory as well as next week’s TNA Impact Wrestling TV tapings. Friday is the last business day before Sunday’s Bound For Glory and that’s why Friday is the day that the deal would have to be done by.
