I guess that's the fear. Although the tapes don't do shyt for TNA really since I don't think they have an on demand service or dvd distribution beyond what they sell from their website. The contracts would be weird anyway for most of the top guys even if WWE straight up bought them. If it hits bankruptcy WWE could get the tapes but Corgan could sign people with the intent of starting a new company since they'd be free I guess.

Corgan should have dipped already & just ate the loss on whatever he's already invested. But he's really looking at buying a company that doesn't make money (& would take years to get to the point it could if it ever does) for more than it's worth & immediately having to drop whatever extra cost to cover this PPV that their contracted to do. And that's before even bringing up whatever debts they owe that he would assume. From a financial standpoint, Corgan is dumb as all hell even trying to put himself in this position.

He probably feels like he can take credit for the current revivial in quality for TNA and wants to try and go all in on saving it my guess. And yeah Im surprised TNA hasnt done more with their DVDS, aside from releasing the PPVS the only thing recent they've released was the Best of Hogan and Best of Sting DVDs. Im surprised they didnt release a AJ, Angle, Joe, X Division, Hardys DVDs unless they have and I missed it.
Edit: I see they made Jeff Hardy and AJ styles DVDs too

TNA has one day left to get some money :lupe:

Similarly with Corgan, with time he may be able to put together the right deal to save TNA, but he may only have a few days left. If there’s no money by 9/30, there will be no PPV on Sunday and no tapings the next week. That would put TNA in breach of its television contracts and PPV contracts to provide the shows and new material. It wouldn’t guarantee death, but it would be a bad thing and it could mean death at that point, or grave consequences if one or more of the television partners used the breach to cancel the show.

Why, Corgan said yester BFG is booked and ready to go. So thats one part of the bet already accomplished for me.

Carter has said he isn't selling, and Corgan and others have confirmed there is no sale going on now, especially during this week.

TNA wrestlers have confirmed they haven't been cancelled from coming in for taping next week either, so looks like I'm right.

Recap of Corgan on ESPN (Nothing new, really)

When asked by LaBatard how you win a bidding war with Vince McMahon, Billy says you don't. Briefly summing up that if Vince wanted a bidding war he would win. Doesn't seem that there is a chance of that happening.

Wrestling is a tough sell for advertising. Billy wants to update the image to try change this. There are disagreements over what this image should be. Corgan wants to provide a different product than WWE but lacks the financial resources.

States the need for consistent capital which has been lacking from TNA in the past to realise his changes. Mentions that he doesn't want a deal that is going to put them in the same position in a few months time.

When asked if Bound for Glory would definitely go ahead he stated that everyone is committed to making it go ahead and that they have been in this situation before. There have been 3 other situations like this and they all ended with "last minute, miracle hail marys". But he said that this time, he and others are looking for a long term resolution.

Billy said IF he's standing in the ring Sunday. He also said TNA has been for sale for a long time even with Dixie's denials. Dixie Carter is a compulsive liar, even for a business woman. Billy gotta close the deal by tomorrow or show up Sunday with a duffelbag.

No one has said Bound for Glory will occur Sunday.

Update: The Latest Report On A Potential Sale Of TNA, Is WWE Back In The Mix?

Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is now back in the picture in regards to a potential sale of TNA Wrestling.

Meltzer also noted that Dixie Carter is in a position to be able to sell TNA to whoever she likes. Apparently whatever deal is being worked out has become very complicated.

TNA is said to be running out of time to make a deal and at last word Billy Corgan still did not have a deal in place to buy TNA. Corgan was on ESPN earlier this week and made it sound like a potential deal could be weeks away but Meltzer is reporting that a deal would need to be worked out by Friday.

The reason the deal would need to be finalized by Friday is because Corgan would need to be able to fund this Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory as well as next week’s TNA Impact Wrestling TV tapings. Friday is the last business day before Sunday’s Bound For Glory and that’s why Friday is the day that the deal would have to be done by.

411MANIA | Dixie Carter Reportedly Making ‘a Mess’ of TNA Sale Negotiations

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a growing frustration within TNA, due to the feeling that Dixie Carter is making a mess of the TNA sale negotiations. One person close to the sale told the Obsever the following…

“There are a lot of hurdles and games being played. She (Dixie Carter) has really made a mess and is responsible for all of it.”

Another person stated the following…

“I thought Aroluxe had it late last week (this was when just days earlier Billy Corgan seemed to be the one most expected to get it). Then Saturday (9/24) I thought Billy won. Now I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth. She is something else. I’ve never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It’s the only thing they can agree on.”

Carter is the one who will make the decision as to who ends up with the company. While WWE was in the picture earlier in the week, they are now reportedly out again.

Whoever buys the company will also have to deal with the promotion’s debt, which is said to be “millions of dollars,” owed to Aroluxe, Corgan and others. Some reports put the amount of the debt at greater than the value of the company. There are also now reports that FITE TV owns a small stake in the company.

TNA’s main issue is their lack of revenue. When they lost Spike TV and went to Destination America, they lost between 40 and 50 percent of their TV revenue deal. That is when things started to get bad. The move to POP TV sees TV getting a share of the advertising revenue, which said to be almost non-existent.

A deal needs to get done by Friday, because of there is no funding, there will be no Bound for Glory or TV tapings. If this were to happen, TNA would be in breach of its television & PPV contracts, and could cause them the loss of those deals.

I've never heard people talk so angerily about the person who is spending and wasting the money and taking in a lion's share of the debt.
