WWE NWO debut promo was high-key trash and lazy.

Too bad these guys wanted to sit at home and collect their checks/WWE not wanting to have overpaid vet contracts at the KICKOFF of the WCW purchase angle.

This would have been a cool way to set it off. And the backstory would sort of in-depth wrestling-wise.

This was cool just to see them back in WWE, but after Wrestlemania it got old. Hall fell off the wagon, Nash got hurt. Then they started added in members (the nWo curse) and it was lame af by that point.

I think in a perfect world, these three come back, stay healthy, and maybe you do the Triple H storyline to add HBK later for a group of

Hogan, HBK, Nash, Hall.

You can milk a good year of this happening and their breakup, if done right.

Whole angle was shyt. Even tho the promo was classic, the manic Vince in the dressing room shouldn’t have been the intro. Then yea the No Way out debut was trash. And we saw the rest

It was such a weird time in wrestling. It was post-Invasion, but pre-OG Brand Extension, so they were gradually having WCW/ECW guys pop up with gimmick changes, with an overall flooded roster, but there wasn’t really any direction yet.

Don’t forget the stupid decision of having Jericho go over your two biggest stars in one night and basically having a forgettable champion that whole time period leading to a shytty WM18 main event. If it wasn’t for HBK return and the mid card of SD(Edge/Rey/Angle/Beniot/Eddie) 2002 would have been the most forgettable year ever in wrestling

Honestly I didn't give a fukk about any of that.. I was souped of the fact that Austin and Rock interacted with the NWO for the first time. It was a great thing to see.
When they cost Austin the title at NWO. It was cool... When they attempted murdered the Rock, That was the NWO at its best.. But when this happened.. It was curtians for the NWO being a threat

Jericho going over them wasn’t the problem, his booking of being second fiddle was the problem. Why would you pair him up with Stephanie McMahon? It made him look stupid as hell. Late 2002 after the draft was in effect was good, but overall it most definitely was an underwhelming year, especially with the amount of people the had on the roster.

Idk... They had some GOAT LEVEL PPV. Summerslam 2002, Survivor Series 2002, and Wrestlemania XIX. Then, you had some great ones like No Mercy 2002, Vengeance 2002, Armageddon 2002, and etc

Vince shoulda paid the stars the money. Imagine the first sight of WCW pulling up being

Sting
Goldberg
Booker T
DDP
Flair
NWO

vs

Austin
Rock
Taker
HHH
HBK
Angle
Kane
Big Show/Jericho

:banderas:

There's no way I would have let those stars be sitting at home, aging, ring rust etc. They could've flipped that 12-18 month period into some greatness.
