I'm sorry but they fumbled the NWO worse than the Alliance storyline. Completely DOA

Hogan shrugged it off knowing that promo was straight trash.

It was kind of weird cuz for weeks they were headstrong with Vince being senile and deranged and hyping up NWO coming in to wreck shop and kill his creation.

Then they come out and they go with the "actually, we're nice guys" promo. All was obviously a charade for them to beat up Austin later in the night but I don't see the point of having the NWO do the "let's act nice to the fans, Austin, and Rock all night" when everyone knew they were full of shyt. Like if there's not even a hint of suspense that maybe they are nice guys this time (and the WWE basically shytted on the "suspense" themselves by having Austin and Rock clown them) then what's the point?

I think everyone would have just rather them come out from the get go and do what Vince was hyping: wreck shop.

Yeah I thought that was kinda lame when they just showed up to cut a promo. But the next night on raw tho, that was the nwo I remembered. Of course they fukked it all up by just having the rock show up like nothing happened the next week. Then it was all downhill after that.

I didn’t understand how that in storyline they were brought in as hired guns by Vince to destroy WWE, but when they actually made it to TV they weren’t associated with Vince at all and were showing up on Raw when Vince was mainly involved on Smackdown at the time.

Another funny thing was vince randomly came.out to nwo music in june or july 2002 and said "the Nwo is officially over!!"
He basically comes out on tv and just deletes a stable and storyline on the air

I remember that and it was only like a few weeks after they teased Triple H joining the NWO. They even centered a segment around it initially on the Vengeance PPV that year with Michaels trying to recruit him. But once Vince killed the storyline they changed it to will Triple H join Stephanie and the Smackdown brand or Shawn Michaels, Bischoff and the Raw brand shyt was pitiful

Vince is so dumb. He probably legitimately tries to hire writers, but the dumbass doesn't understand he's wrestling the lowest rung of sociey. So any writer that would actually write for wwe(outside of loving it like freddie prince) would be complete ass and was probably unhireable anywhere else.
