People in here know damn well they have alot more revenue streams than ever before not to mention they only been a public company for 20 years.

If TNA/GFW survived a decade and a half without profit anything is possible in wrestling

This is not that though, WWE still makes a lot of money despite having the kind of product - and booking, and attendance problems - that wrestling companies go in the red for.

In the words of George Bush, somebody is practicing some fuzzy math

I dont care about shows added or even certain budget cuts.

We wwnt thru an era where biz was so good, dudes like Roaddog had a million dollar year or two. Where every house show was packed out. Where t-shirts sold by the tens of thousands. Where ppvs were wildly popular. Where tv ratings were triple and quadruple what they are now. Where wwe videogames were sold out everywhere. THEY WERE PRINTING MONEY IN EVERY FACET OF BUSINESS.

I don't care about pyro or deavors....there's no way they're legally posting their best years in WWF history, or even in WWE history if they're trying to be technical.

And next quarter or year they'll come out ans say they topped even that one.
I believe the revenue because of jacked up prices and all of the avenues they have now vs. in 2001. They have a self-sustaining business model especially as the only major wrestling company in North America.

They're super tight-lipped about the profits, though.

It's a well-oiled machine right now. I'm not going to say they'll never shut down though because people used to say that about Barnum & Bailey Circus and look where they're at.

What did he say about the half empty arenas for TV recordings?

thats why this doesn't matter. ya they got millions n millions coming in from different places but the fact is, less and less people are watching. Ratings n blacked out arenas prove that. Id love too see the merch % of total revenue profits, they must be making a fukking killing in tshirts n toys.

This is why I laugh at supposed "experts" like Meltzer n Alvarez who always try to shyt on Vince way of doing business. If Vince did business by their neckbeard logic, he'd be outta business like WCW & ECW.

Vince n WWE is and always WILL be successful if they don't listen to smark/neckbeards. Remember how WCW tried that "smark" booking? Went outta business. ECW always catered to smarks too. Went outta business.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

WCW went out of business because they spent too much money. They used to pay guys millions of dollars who weren't even working. I think it was Macho Man's brother who made like a half a mil a year and wasn't even a wrestler anymore.

And they let guys like Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan control the booking. Those dudes hate smarks

And Ted Turner sold his company to AOL/Time Warner, who did not want to be in the wrestling business.

If Ted Turner (who loved wrestling) kept his company, WCW would exist to this day

Also, how in the hell is making David Arquette your champion and bringing in Master P and Vince Russo, smark booking?

If anything, when the WCW was "smark booking" in '96-'98, they were the best wrestling show in history with the luchadors, japanese wrestlers, guys like Jericho, Malenko, Benoit, etc. . .having a major role on TOP of guys like Hogan, Flair, Goldberg, DDP, and Sting.

If they had stayed "smark" instead of trying to out celebrity the WWF with Karl Malone, Jay Leno, Dennis Rodman, Master P, David Arquette, they might have stuck around.
