CMLL is like the Mexican New JapanMy understanding of AAA as a traditional lucha company is that in the late 90s they were ECW through a lucha lens, in the 00s into mid 10s they were absolute worst TNA through a lucha lens, and since then it's been a mix of both but somehow worse. All I know for sure about AAA is anytime I've checked out something that is airing on all those free tv services is some of the most absolute dogshyt production and working I've ever seen. It doesn't seem hard to understand why it has been in dire straights financially. On some Global Force shyt.
