Bought the game yesterday but can't connect to the server for some reason , so the game is just stuck in demo mode wtf is this shyt ?

Now that you mentioned it an undertaker showcase would have made so much sense especially sense he is going into the hall of fame this year. They missed an opportunity
Also I am glad I’m not experiencing the glitches that y’all are, I played 4 hours of my ride yesterday with no issues
I’ve played the game for a couple of days now and I’m honestly surprised at the overwhelming positive reviews. Only thing I’ve really enjoyed is MyRise. Gameplay is overrated and the graphics doesn’t even look next gen worthy, 19’s graphics are better imo.
I know promos in Universe Mode was divisive but they could have at least improved/expanded it (add backstage promos for example). There’s not enough variety in cutscenes to remove promos imo.
Guess I’ll stick with playing 2k19 as my main wrestling game

Having had enough time to sit down and play this thoroughly, I can give a better review of this game. I still say it's the best WWE game to come out since 2k14, and it's in my top 5 of wrestling games. The outdated roster and some caw limitations hurt the score, but I would say it's an 8.5 imo. The good really does outweigh the bad, and the bad would be the limited MyGM/MyRise/missing caw features.
I might be in the minority here, but I think the career mode in 2k20 was more fun since it had a story. MyRise started to feel tedious after a while especially with the redundant side quests, and they don't tell you which quests will unlock certain arenas. I almost missed out on the Japan Hall because I didn't read the text about HOEgan. MyRise is going to make you hate the game and put it down, but once you unlock everything you don't ever have to play it again.
I noticed that the crowd's enthusiasm is dictated by whoever is in the ring. If you have Brock vs Roman they won't shut up, but put 2 lower tier people in the ring and it sounds WWF Attitude crowd on the PS1 with the random shout outs
. The creators have really been doing a great job with a lot of these caws, and being able to have different pictures for the alternate attires is a nice touch. Overall 2k & VC redeemed themselves for the horrible abomination that was 2k20, but they need to follow this formula and just expand on it in with future releases. HCTP can still rest comfortably as the undisputed GOAT.

Guess I stick with 2K19 and the other classics before this gets a price drop before I check it out..
Pre-ordering WWE or any other sports games is not a good move, I learned from WWE 2K18 from messed up it was at launch.

Nah you right, the control scheme is largely the same. I wish they would have just had one action or environment modifier button you hold to do certain things. It's always all different buttons or combos of buttons to do the shyts that aren't basic grapples or strikes.

Just saw that 2k planned to do Rey vs liger it’s in the game locked away for showcase but they couldn’t get the rights to liger. Smh
I'll stand by my initial review after letting it sit. It's the best 2K game after 2K19, and has promise to be the best 2K game NEXT YEAR. But this game is basically the same. Same-ish controls, same game mechanics, the returning modes have stuff TAKEN OUT, the new modes aren't fleshed out enough yet to be worth it...
I know we haven't had any other iterations of big budget wrestling games to compare it to, but I just don't really have fun when actually playing matches in WWE 2K games. My bread and butter is downloading CAWs and fukkin around in Universe mode with 2K games, and I'll gladly drop 100 bones for the year to have that. But that is disappointing this year. And just as a AAA wrestling game on it's own... 2K is still just really disappointing overall..
I'm totally down for EA getting the license, even if it's a massively worse game, I just want to try something else than 2K's idea of a wrestling game at this point.

naw you tripping the graphics on this game is clearly better than any wrestling game ever. That’s not up for debate, I can’t speak for the rest of your complaints but I can’t let you shyt on the graphics.
And its white boys on here that will say the game on the left looks better
