For everyone still on the fence, this dude gave a pretty informed and honest review of the game from someone who’s channel is based on these games. His voice is goofy but he lays it all out.

Uninstalled and deleted. Once getting to a certain point in Myrise, the game would hard crash trying to load. Doing Universe in sandbox was dull, doing the Universe mode as a single wrestler was just endless repeated tag matches with random partners even when you pick a wrestler that is part of a team or stable. GM mode is about as unfun as possible and taking over Raw/SD and then having to start in high school gyms and shyt

Not to mention how every match starts out as a disappointment no matter how big the stars are, how well they match up, or if you play the match itself and do everything possible to get a 5 star match in any other mode. Meanwhile the other show will have something like Angelo Dawkins/Asuka vs Big Boss Man/Charlotte in the main event and it's 5 stars every time.

Yup. GM mode is fukking joke I tried to force myself to play that mode but it's very stupid for the reasons you stated especially starting off SD/RAW in a high school gym. That concept should have been used for the start of the MyRise story.
Whoever's idea to come up with the GM mode concept for 2K22 needs to be fired like seriously. I rather start up my PS2 and play SvR 06 if I want to play GM mode.
I still don't know how gaming review sites keep giving this game an 8/10.

I enjoy the game but WWE is obviously paying for these reviews. Game is good but there is a LOT missing and it's still a glitch fest.

Like I said in my review in here before this game is a 6/10 at best. Half-assed 2K showcase, no new match types, & headache glitches. We all know this game much better than the 2K20 mess but that ain't saying a lot.

Showcase was so trash, I swear they only used Mysterio to make the package stick out with the colors. Taking in consideration the "moments" they used there were at least 10 other wrestlers they could have used when looking at the entire roster. shyt just go ahead and do a Taker Showcase and it's 1000 times better.
