I got the game Friday morning. Breh who said it was 6.5 ish was right. I’ll spend more time with the game today, but from what I’ve played so far. It’s better than 2k20 of course, but there are so many negatives that i think people are letting slide. Either because they were fiending for a new wrestling game to begin with, or they have a YouTube channel where wrestling games are their bread, and butter for content.
I have a lot of negatives. I’ll probably post them later today, or tomorrow. But one i feel like is getting brushed under the rug is the created superstars, and the problems they create once you begin to use them. The game starts loading more/longer, glitches happen in the ring, textures take longer to load in, and for now the created superstar doesn’t look all that great (Sting, Jade, and Animal look great, Punk, Bryan, Cody body looks on point but their face’s fukk up the illusion). I thought no advance entrance wouldn’t be that big a deal. That, and no custom themes fukks up the illusion to BIG time. To the point I just skip their entrances (they seem not as seamless, and out of place anyway).
All that said, gameplay is fine. It’s far from perfect, but it’s the best part about the game. Which is the most important to most people. For me, the features have to be the same level as the gameplay. They both have to be great for me to really enjoy it. I don’t think this is worth the $74 so far. I think next year might be if 2K gets the license again, and they prioritize what the fans want the most.
