My main gripe with tower mode was
I won every match except the last one in reys tower and so you have to play the whole tower again

I literally just found out reversals are limited.
Thought I was going crazy when I would tap R2 and nothing would happen

It's worth the buy
Just dont go chasing waterfalls. In other words, the more ambitious you are with features that are SUPPOSED to work, the more you're gonna encounter fukkery and glitches.
Right now I'm playing exhibition, and having a lot of fun with multi man elimination stuff. Sometimes the AI acts a bit stupid, and some physics will get silly. The game lacks polish in a a LOT of areas.
But theres still fun to be had. I'm definitely hard on the series, but the core gameplay when it works is worth it.
I paid 45 for the Deluxe and while I have my "this stupid fukking game" moments, I've had some dope matches and sequences and shyt

I was feeling generous of spirit with kindness in my heart so I let that 13 yr old who I stole the steam gift card from get some runs in this game. 
I figured he'd like the fukkery of MyPlayer. Maybe even like the challenges of the tower? Contrary to what ya'll think of me, I'm a friend to the children. 
But it turns out this demon spawn, this hell sent beast, this twisted braces clad imp uploaded a logo of a penis to community creations and got me banned for 15 days from online
