Dont mind losing Joe as he seemed to be done by the Playoffs but yeah Deng hurts even if he is old. Heat gonna have to work through the year to build a bench

Breh, look at how much money is being flung around out there.

Say we don't get Durant, we match TJ, and we give Wade his money...how much money do you think we have left?

What free agents are out there, right now, that you think we picking up on the cheap?

This was always the end game for this summer, its like you guys werent following along. After resigning our own guys (barring a KD commit + Dragic) we were always only going to be looking at minimum contract guys: gerald green/brandon rush caliber players, thats just the reality. They can go
over the cap to sign TJ so thats a non story

All I'm saying we don't have room for Durant. Because of the little money we have left, we shouldn't waste our time chasing Durant.
Its not a waste of time because the whole point is they have a means to create the space to sign Durant and please Wade too, its not one or the other until they get in the room and hear otherwise

...that's what I said and it's why I think we might not be in such a great position next season.

Dragic/Weber
Wade/Richardson
Winslow/Green
Bosh?/McRoberts
Whiteside

This team is one injury from going straight into the shytter and we have three people who are question marks when it comes to health.

:whew: off season has not been pretty for the Heat. @HiphopRelated yeah, they should have def locked up Wade last year on that 3/45. but Riley had to keep that pipe dream alive, roster right now including Wade is probably a 4-8 seed :yeshrug:

last year was really our shot :to: damn injuries :why:

So in other words the same team minus Deng?

Yeah with Wade having an extra year of wear and tear on his body, Bosh's health being a question mark, a loss of our most well-rounded player in Deng, and with the hope that all of Whiteside's nagging injuries that he's had for the past two years were just freak accidents.

You acting like Deng wasn't the reason we survived that Charlotte series and wasn't our 2nd most consistent player for the entire playoffs.

Any time a single player (Except Bosh) missed a game, our entire rotation ended up suffering. We missed Dragic for a couple of games and you had Wade come out like "I didn't even realize how important Dragic is for us and how easy he makes the game".

We've got a group of relatively young guys in Whiteside/winslow/richardson/tj (who i believe they'll match) and the progress of this team depends largely on their development, I've said it all along..some of you just seem pretty committed to going off the deep end, and im not trying to stop you

:comeon:

Again, Whiteside has had nagging injuries for two years straight. Ones that have come through minimal contact (Outside of when he cut his hand on the rim) while being the only reliable big man we got.

Winslow and Richardson are ok players but Winslow is now our best defender so what happens when he sits or needs rest? Or what about when Whiteside needs rest? You ready to trot out Josh McRoberts or a 36 year old Udonis as our center for 10 minutes a game?

That bench unit of Weber, Richardson, Green, McRoberts, and Haslem 'bout to keep the keep us afloat or is Wade gonna be forced to carry this team from the brink of destruction?

Like I said, how good does this team look over the grind of 82 games and playoffs? How many times have we said "If it wasn't for these injuries" and you think that I'm just speaking bullshyt?

Or does this just look like a treadmill team right now?

Going through the first few pages of this thread and no surprise the same folks that are mad now are the ones who thought we were going to realistically pay Whiteside, Wade, and still retain Deng and Joe. No foresight at all of the market, only @Alexander The Great and @954UAlreadyknow were addressing the harsh realities of the cap situation with realistic scenarios. And of course what i said all along

Free agency aside we could be a much better team off the development of these 3 alone.

Give Wade the Kobe Legacy contract and move on.

Riley is butthurt about LeBron leaving and winning and he's not doing the right thing (if these reports are true, no way of telling during FA time).

Wade and UD have sacrificed too much already. Pay them and move on. Loyalty is everything

Sprained right MCL
01/20/2016 Strained oblique
01/04/2016 Sore knee
12/11/2015 Sore ankle
03/25/2015 Right hand laceration
03/07/2015 Sore ankle
02/06/2015 Sprained right ankle
01/21/2015 Sprained right ankle

This is our 27 year old franchise center's injury history. Our 7 foot and only center who loves to jump on both defense and offense plus the fact that he's typically been on a minute restriction since playing with us.

Whiteside is obviously a game changing talent but dudes think I'm just blowing hot air by pointing this stuff out until halfway through the season, we start bytching about how injuries are holding us back from actual greatness.

:dwillhuh:

The fukk? I said the exact same thing that I'm saying now. Whiteside is an injury prone, jump happy 7 footer, I don't see anyway to unload Bosh's contract, and that our cap space has is relatively limited to what we can do.

Deng gone :mjcry:
He had to get that paycheck tho :ehh:
Our lineup will be looking shaky opening night. Winslow will be the starter now, he better be shooting all summer :usure:
Bosh's health is the key at this point and even if he does come back he won't be even playing on the road much unless it's like Orlando :francis:
