Idk no Dirk would probably still be option A in Dallas and Portland is rumor to have interest and they have Lillard and CJ. Knicks have Melo, KP and Rose so he wouldn't be first option either and those are three of the four rumor team. Could he be a number 1 option in Boston maybe

If there is any possibility of Durant coming why wouldn't they attempt to negotiate less with Whiteside to make it work? This is the business, the top guys aren't signing at 12:01 and they never do. They were never going to call Whiteside at midnight and offer the full max, without seeing what possibilities might be out there with a "whale" free agent. I can only imagine all the doom and gloom in here next Friday

Whiteside is a top tier free agent. If we don't sign him at 12:01, Cuban most likely will. They should of had the foresight to plan ahead a few years back to give themselves an opportunity to sign Wade, Whiteside, and Durant like they did to sign the Big 3.

Whiteside is going to talk to other suitors, thats how free agency goes, ultimately Miami is going to have the final say. If they can get a meeting with Durant they most likely won't be agreeing to a deal with Whiteside early in the day (unless an under the table deal has been discussed with Wade). Ya'll just going to have to be patient, there was nothing they could do "a few years back" to plan to sign Wade, Whiteside, and Durant because 2 of those 3 guys weren't even in the picture, hell this time last year nobody even knew Whiteside would be a max consideration. You want to complain for the sake of complaining go ahead but there's nothing the organization did at fault here.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is planning to host free-agency meetings at a singular location starting July 1, league sources told The Vertical.

Durant’s representatives at Roc Nation are working to solidify invitations with the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Thunder, league sources said.

i need closure
if theres 1 piece we cant risk losing (outside of Wade for loyalty reasons) its Whiteside
they need DJ Khaled in that meeting room and the starting lineup @ King of Diamons + Taz's Angels
