This is my favorite Wu album. I'm listening to it now, cuz of this thread, and it's still futuristic. The beats, the lyrics, etc

Classic album. Every Wu member in their prime. Ahead of its time, and underappreciated when it came out. It got "mixed reviews" at the time, and I never understood why, the music was amazing, and if anyone justifies a double album, it's a crew of nine dudes, with two affiliates who might as well be members.
Listening to this brings back a lot of memories - I listened to it more than 36 Chambers. I miss when Wu didn't give a fukk about song structure.
Not to ruin this thread with negativity, but it would have been perfect without Wu-Revolution, Black Shampoo and Second Coming. Wu-Revolution is the worst intro ever. Wack ass beat, and some annoying homeless man telling lies about science for seven minutes...fukk outta here. I guess if you're Muslim, you like it? Cool for you, I guess. shyt sounds terrible to me. Black Shampoo and Second Coming are all right, but I'm not really trying to hear U-God and Tekitha solos, even on a Wu double album. Should've replaced with Sunshower or one of them joints that ended up on The Swarm, like '97 Mentality.
Love the rest tho. Triumph, Reunited, For Heavens Sake, Hellz Wind Staff, It's Yourz, The M.G.M., Dog shyt, lol....the album could've used more Dirty.
RZA's verses were so on point, throughout...I wish he still rapped like that. His verses might be my favorites.
