oh yeah....and about the album itself.......is there another album in hiphop history that stands on its own the way this did? sounded like nothing before it....and then in the blink of an eye, the badboy/hitmen sound took over. This album is literally the definition of lightening in a bottle.

The content and production on this classic is still being digested in 2020.

To me the deepest album in hip hip history. The best verses every constructed are all over this album.

Wu pulled a 180 From the cuban linx gangsta music and dropped a damn near public enemy esque album about life, struggle and rising to the occasion. Pure philosphy. I could write a book on this album based purely on the lyrics.

If i was stranded on a island forever all i would need was wu forever

Never had to goro summer school

Just pivked up the wutang double cd

And got all the education i needed this year

Na mean

Most ubderrated album in hip hop. 6 mics

I think i did a review of the entire album on here before. Classic shyt. Cant be touched imo. No album had as much power as this had. Wu owned the industry when this dropped.

Classic album. Every Wu member in their prime. Ahead of its time, and underappreciated when it came out. It got "mixed reviews" at the time, and I never understood why, the music was amazing, and if anyone justifies a double album, it's a crew of nine dudes, with two affiliates who might as well be members.

Listening to this brings back a lot of memories - I listened to it more than 36 Chambers. I miss when Wu didn't give a fukk about song structure.

Not to ruin this thread with negativity, but it would have been perfect without Wu-Revolution, Black Shampoo and Second Coming. Wu-Revolution is the worst intro ever. Wack ass beat, and some annoying homeless man telling lies about science for seven minutes...fukk outta here. I guess if you're Muslim, you like it? Cool for you, I guess. shyt sounds terrible to me. Black Shampoo and Second Coming are all right, but I'm not really trying to hear U-God and Tekitha solos, even on a Wu double album. Should've replaced with Sunshower or one of them joints that ended up on The Swarm, like '97 Mentality.

Love the rest tho. Triumph, Reunited, For Heavens Sake, Hellz Wind Staff, It's Yourz, The M.G.M., Dog shyt, lol....the album could've used more Dirty.

RZA's verses were so on point, throughout...I wish he still rapped like that. His verses might be my favorites.
Album needed more GZA too, he only on one song on the second CD. And fool that was Popa Wu (RIP) on the intro (it was long as not as enigmatic as his outro or intro on OB4CLN 1 & 2)
