If only. I'd kill to have him lock in in a basment with an ASR-X, SP1200, S950 and a wall of records and all the weed and dust he can handle.
After listening to the Rick Rubin interview and hearing how deep RZA got into composing, it made me think maybe he could compose original joints then sample them with the older equipment. Lofty thinking of course but that would be a way to appease RZA and the clan.

And we lost Meth's first album. They had to remake it fast. I wish there were at least a few songs saved from Deck's Spiderman album..
Yeah, Mef had to rush out the album for it's release date. I am sure the original was another classic (I like Tical don't get me wrong). I have a feeling that was history altering losing those albums especially for Decks career because he didn't drop until 99 and it was not the same then. Rza was no longer doing all of of the beats and he was Digital by then..... I think that cost Deck a platinum classic album, career altering.

I think Deck spoke on this a little bit on Talib's podcast

I don't think Deck releases a classic if he came out in '94 or '95. IMO, he didn't really pinpoint his sound outside of raw spitter until later. Plus, there was no window for it within the Clan. But the 2nd flood hurt Deck more. He was supposed to drop on the heels of Forever in '97, but with the second flood, turmoil and getting stalled with the Loud transition, he had to redo it for the '99 release...by which RZA had already moved on.

I do hope he and RZA manage to lock in for a 1-time album though. Deck's probably the only one that really hasn't had proper extensive RZA involvement.

M80 is much more hip hop than you, and he'd prolly knock you out in real life.

Sorry to be the Bearer of bad news but the RZA we grew up on and adore is no longer in existence..that Razor Rakeem RZArector ZIG ZAG ZIG has been gone long ago..
Yeah, that version of Rza is long gone.... You won't get that out of him nowadays and it all started with Digital and then on from there. I would not look forward to an album now from him nor a Wu album he produces to be honest and he was one of my faves to ever do it in the 90s hands down.

96-97 was Deck at his peak I agree. 95 I still think he could have delivered a SOLID album but you may be right it was better suited for him to drop around Forever when he was at his peak IMO.
