OB4CL was a "one last score I'm trying to get out of the game" concept album, which is what I thought this ep would be, or at least a reimagining of The Killer and Hard Boiled

They already did this last season, in the ep where Rae and Ghost go up to Stretch and Bobbito. There was even a scene with John Woo's trademark doves.

The stunt co-ordinators uploaded the pre-viz to youtube too.

I was expecting Scarface personally. I do feel like they gave it a nod in the dinner scene with Shurrie in the Elvira wig and the "Say goodnight to the bad guy" set-up, though.

Yeah but that was just a single scene. I thought they would expand on that and make an entire ep with Rae as Jeffrey and Ghost as Dumbo, enemies turned friends

I've read multiple times that U-God's character was killed at the end of Knuckleheadz but nothing in the lyrics or song make that sound like it's the case...am I missing something?

The concept was dope but the execution was godawful. The acting in this series has been horrendous overall. The only ones doing a decent job are the actors playing Power, Divine, ODB, and Rae (he has wack moments here and there but compared to WZA and Dave East he's Al Pacino).

The one easter egg not mentioned was Fat Joe at a basketball court, cuz as a matter of fact he doesn't wanna speak about the Rucker

OB4CL was a "one last score I'm trying to get out of the game" concept album, which is what I thought this ep would be, or at least a reimagining of The Killer and Hard Boiled. Instead they went with the corrupt cops and crack rocks angle, and why have Greco at all when he's on another album?

Shurrie as Blue Raspberry :ohlawd:
But it wasn't the album per se, it was the thought process in crafting the album the way they did. If not, U-God gets killed first, there's no Fat Joe, no Big L, and they're pulling mini heists all up to the big one, then closing off by relaxing in the tropics.

yeah…in general it’s easy for me to enjoy the show but when they do these types of episodes you see just how limited the range is for some of these young actors and on another note just how cheap some of the production is…and it “forces” me to nitpick at a show that I really like for the most part

Exactly. Last season when they had the recording Method Man episode and the RZA sample process for Protect Ya Neck (GOAT series episode) were the peak. This season has been a let down unfortunately.

great ep. divine gets all the bad rep from wu members but honestly, hes the one working everyday while everyone else was loungin going out and just rappin for checks. Hes the one making the deals and talking with the labels. I couldnt believe ghost in that old wu doc saying divine deserves nothing he wants all the bread.

I wonder how involved he is today. He must do business of some sort with rza i wouod think but maybe not

Rae and dirty super out of pocket

Deck is right but wrong at the same time. Deck in the beginning wasnt doing the feature/mixtape thing the other guys like rae and meth did. Even rza was collabinf a lot pre forever. Deck didnt start til after forever with true master and above the clouds. He tried ti get on the dogg poind album but pac xnayed that when it came down to it.

For being like a main guy on the albums, i never understood how his career went that way. He lacks the charisma of the others but plenty of guys had solo deals with equal chrisma and less talent.

Cap on the other hand has a great album with the pillage but as we know now, cap can bring it but he freestyles mostly everything and his solo career went left after parting with rza. He has his moments, but conpared to deck…

Giving cap a 700k deal pre ironman off winter warz verse and ice cream/ice water when deck did cream being da ruckus wu/aint nuthin to f wit and protect ya neck is insane.

And as much as divine/rza tried keeping all these guys close knit under 1 roof, by end of ep we see vine is gon say fukk these guys. It cant be done.

And where the fukk is method man this season. What was he in 1 ep?

And gza was right. Liquid swords was the last clan solo to have EVERY member on it (sans cap)

Rae trying to convince Divine to throw away money on American Cream Team :hhh:

Hunter :camby:

Deck still getting the short end of the stick :francis:

Diabetes finally caught up to Starks. :sadcam: Time for the trip to Benin.

After this ep - I absolutely understand why Divine said 'fukk it' and went and sat on the boat for a decade.

It's a damn shame they never released Ghost x Clark's "Crazy Visions"

Respect to the blue and cream joints

I mean - they're not sold directly by Clarks - but ask and you shall receive

Blue & Cream
