Lol. Yea, I remember that. From the outside, it seems like he puts up with ALOT of bullsh!t from the other members but still keeps it together for the sake of the Wu-Tang name and their fans.

Yeah I have massive respect for the Abbot. Can't think of any other people who could've taken that grimy-as-hell group of MCs and turned them into one of the biggest musical groups ever.

Yep.

I will say one thing though, if this record is filled with mediocre, Ron O'Neal sounding RZA beats I'm done with RZA as the Wu musical commandeer. I really like Ruckus In B Minor but 4th Disciple's Necklace really has that vintage Wu sound that the generals sound so good over. RZA really has me worried because he's stated that he thinks Ron O' Neal is fly, and he has this cheesy sounding motherfvcka Nathaniel on 4 tracks. I really hope he didn't drop the ball on this one because at the end of the day RZA is the father of this Wu-Tang sh!t.

Cilvaringz thoughts on the album:

"I'll tell yall like this, from a Wu-Tang fan perspective, not as Cilvaringz or anything like that, but as a fan like yall, I just heard the whole album in full, and I'm definitely impressed. Not to be biased, but to me it's a really great album. The song "Miracles" is a def favourite and the album sounds cohesive, which for me as a listener is an important factor. I must admit that even I, even though knowing what RZA is capable of, there was some worry about the experimental sound and the use of live instrumentation, but after hearing it twice now, I can't say anything else other than that I really genuinely enjoyed the album and I'm pretty sure many of you will as well.

None of the Wu-Tang
album are greater or less great than each other, they are all moments in time and RZA captures those moments perfectly with that point in time, as he does with this album. It's a saga, it's not individual parts with separate albums, it's one 20 year lasting experience, one pyramid with the bricks representing those moments. That's the only way I can describe it."

VERY hyped after reading that because I know how much of a vintage Wu purist Cilva is. If he likes the sound of the album, most Wu fans will also. Great fvcking news!

Props for the thread, but I could care less about what that groupie scum thinks about the album

I don't like him either but he does have an affinity for that Wu sound that most Wu fans crave. Him liking the sound of the album is a good thing, imo.

fukk whatcha heard RZA still got it and never lost it, I still bump OB4CL and love the old school sample straight spittin shyt as much as anyone but I hyped for this shyt. The RZA knows what he's doing, always has and always will, 8 Diagrams is amazing if you listen to it on a great sound system and that new joint Necklace is serious.

Anyone hating on the RZA or the Wu can gtfoh

Does Wu-Tang ever look happy though?

Since the beginning all these dudes have had the same grumpy a$$ attitudes. Dudes announcing displeasure for this and that, not showing up at shows, video shoots, magazine shoots; it's never changed. I still don't understand how RZA was able to do it.

Cilvaringz said none of the group albums are greater or less than each other...can't take anything he says seriously after that. I suspect this will be slightly above average.

Necklace though :wow:
