I still play this album all of the time. It's best played late nights, on long drives. I play this more than Wu-Forever.

The worst beats aren't done by RZA, but Masta Killa, Deck & Mef float all over it, and it's the most inspired GZA sounded in decades. It does help if you're more into soul music, in that it seemed the direction RZA wanted to take were more of the blaxploitation-themed soundtracks. It works as a grown man Wu album. Ghost, Deck, MK should've been at home, since that's their chamber.

Listening again right now. My main gripe is the one I been had: these wack ass hooks. That singing on Miracle fukking ruined the song. That beat is fukking bananas then here comes this wack ass syrupy Disney singing on the hook. Will never forgive RZA for that dumb shyt.

The fact that its sposed to be operatic singing to get over the godfather 2/3 symbolism of the hit planned at the opera doesnt help the case at all? Cause while I understand peoples gripe, i dont think many realize the point of it.

Imo, from wu massacre to a better tomorrow to saga continues to of mics and men, the sound has been pretty good. Wu had a lot of heat in 2010s imo. More than any other 20 yr group minus tribes comeback.

Definetly enough to make a classic 3 disk best of the decade in traditional and new wu style

Bro, I really don't care what it's intention was... it's wack. This album automatically goes up 3 or more notches without those wack ass hooks.

I mean they do no favors, and take the songs they on down a notch, but they atleast better than the dexter wiggles shyt on 8d.

Maybe youll like tbis one more. Uses ODB instead.

I know the instrumental is out, someone should make a hookless version

Keep watch bothers me none either today.

I heard that version and it's dope but the beat pales ALOT in comparison to the 4th Disciple beat of the original. If Miracle was done without that super trash ass hook it would probably be one of my favorite Wu group tracks post Wu Forever.

The hooks do bring them down, which is the same thing I said back then, just as you.

Ron O'Neal only needed MK's bars as the hook
Miracle could've used anything else - the execution just threw off the vibe
40th Street Black, Hold the Heater, Keep Watch just all horrible hooks.
