I went to that New Edition tour when K-Ci and Jojo was on it. The show was the night Whitney died. Everybody was in a somber mood for Bobby, then K-Ci did half of his set riding on top of a grown man like lil kids do when they cant see at the parade. Funniest shyt ive ever seen at a concert. Jojo was drunk off his ass and couldnt even sing large portions of the songs, the crowd had to fill in for him. Then at the end when they all came out to perform together Jojo was so drunk he couldnt make it out the back. K-Ci was yelling like a banshee before stripping down to his boxers and had to be ushered off the stage.

I went to the same tour in VA, but this was before Whitney died though and Bobby Brown wasn't on the show. K-Ci debuted a new track which was pure basura, then asked if the crowd liked it everyone said "NO!!!" Then this nikka sung half the Jodeci records riding on his bodyguards back through the crowd.

But not gonna front, the show was actually pretty good besides the fact this was an outdoor amphitheater and it started raining.

i've posted this before in another thread a year or so back but i've kinda followed the downfall of jodeci over the years and have heard from various sources that the following is what really caused their downfall...

puff got fired by andre harrell and then he took over the crew and they weren't feeling his direction or the lack of respect he showed a multi-plat group. the rumors go that suge took some of his fresh outta prison boys to andre and got him to break their contract and took them to death row after. since he did this, he felt that he owned them especially devante since he was the producer and pretty much made him to whatever he wanted. suge abused the power he had over devante and tried to make him produce tracks on the spot whenever he felt like it and after awhile devante realized he was getting punked for tracks and also getting jerked on money (of course, it's suge )and refused. this is when the well-publicized "home invasion" happened where suge sent the goons to his home where they tied him up, beat him and supposedly raped him in addition to sticking pistols in his mouth and stole over $160, 000 worth of jewelry from him. that was the breaking point for him, after that duke was paranoid as fukk and was never the same...damn shame.

i also heard that while jodeci was rolling with death row that either k-ci or jojo were talking slick shyt in meetings and had the infamous "door locked" on them and got the shyt beat out of them on more than one occasion.

He got more tattoos, switched his music up, going from romantic to a more let's get to the point (sex), as witnessed by the group's content on their third and final album. He thought he could do whatever he thought necessary to be masculine to hide the fact he was raped and he ultimately couldnt handle it. After the third album, he just vanished aside from a few cracked out appearances every few years.

yep...i said "supposedly" just to save him some dignity but i believe it. suge stayed with those fresh out the cell block cats that have no problem doing shyt like beating down and raping another man. shyt is fukkin sick. it's a shame that nikkas never learned to not fukk with death row until it was too late for them...

Is it really confirmed by reliable sources that a gang rape took place? I've read Ronin Ro's book, and it seems like there was definitely some sexual violence at Death Row, and related matter or locations…but was it really like that? That's just fukking disgusting, if true….but it seems a little far fetched and more myth then facts. Maybe some intimidation tactics or humiliation... But, with Suge, you never know, that shortsighted, fresh out mentality, maybe he said fukk it, I'll just tax this p*ssy and he can deal with it.

On another note, what really disgust me too is how (i) you see shots of Suge all the time on Facebook, or whatever, people I know posing with him outside clubs and shyt, I love Pac's music, yet I'm not diehard fan, but I wouldn't shake that dudes hand, and pose for IG flicks with him, he's a fukking scumbag, and what is respectable about him?
