In an otherwise healthy individual, covid-19 is basically a flu. It is also a seasonal disease. Check the stats..it literally peaks in the colder months. And another thing, even if you get vaccinated, you can still spread it, meaning the best measure to curb it is still wearing masks and social distancing.

The vaccine should be mandated for the elderly and people with underlying health conditions. Get the vaccine to build some resistance, but beyond that is there really a need? Wearing masks forever is impracticable. At some point things will have to open back up, and when they do, world governments should ensure the most vulnerable are at least vaccinated.
