I can see this as probable but I'm still bothered by the timing. I'm not an engineer or pilot but I think it seems logical that they could have sent some sort of SOS message unless everyone was immediately incapacitated after they made the turn. Honestly, I'm hoping that this was some sort of disaster and not a hijacker/rogue pilot. It's going to change the game if people aren't able to trust airline pilots.

Of course the electrical fire is only known to the pilots over water (harder to be seen on radar) and after being transferred to a new communication area (calmy communicated "good night" to Malaysia air traffic control). :childplease:

Which brings me to my next point. If the pilots realized something electrical was going on, why not make a landing on water, near the closest location of land? Easier to be found in the vicinity where you made last verbal contact (off the coast of Malaysia) than it is to an unknown place while flying off radar for up to 7 hours.

What I'm saying is the pilots obviously didn't feel that much in distress to immediately land the plane, so why assume that's what they did under the most perilous conditions? I think that scenario equals controlled water landing in the general area of last radio contact + wait/pray for help.

Thirdly, even if the pilots desired to reroute for a regionally located landing strip, WHY NOT TRY TO LAND THE PLANE ASAP WHEN YIU REALIZED YOU COULDNT MAKE IT?

They could ascend/decent but not land. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

I need that author to answer that. Making the pilot to be so smart that he wouldn't do the most logical thing to do when you're so close to land. Sorry. Doesn't make sense.

If it was a a delibrate hijacking... why are we assuming they landed the plane on land?? its risky but entirely possible to land even a big plane like this on the water with a skilled pilot. When you think of the all factors had to go into this for the plane to fly so long undetected its not that far fetched.

This is entirely possible. A ship could be waiting for them in one of the channels. They land the plane on the water and funnel all 240 hostages onto the ship. They then let the plane fill with water and it sinks mostly intact.

Exactly. Leaves no evidence. The perfect crime

yes brehs, landing a 777 on a ship undetectable seems so logical

:stopitslime:

how we gonna be able to detect light emitted from the creation of the universe and be able to find gravitational waves but not find a simple gigantic ass plane from malaysia :mindblown:

I'm scared of flying and that is one of my biggest fears. A rogue depressed pilot on a suicide mission.
