Stats only tell half the story.
Secondary shutting down wide receivers, maybe. Linesmen not providing enough blocking so the quarterback can't stay in the pocket, maybe. Rookies filling in for bigger shoes who retired/got traded/are injured and they can't put out, maybe. Veterans losing their edge against younger players, maybe. Defensive coordinators buying other teams' playbook because there are players selling out because those players are bankrupt and need quick cash, maybe, but that's a conspiracy theory more than a fact.
